Thank you for everything King.

I don't want to troll but I'm just not understanding why Cavs fans are responding with a 'thank you for all you've done' rather than getting mad at him.

Yes, he came back and got a title, but he also dropped the Cavs twice when it wasn't working for him. Not like he was traded.

Yeah it's seriously pathetic and embarrassing. I'm seeing that same sentiment on other Cavs message boards like "WE LOVE YOU LEBRON I HOPE U WIN MORE CHAMPIONSHIP, THANK YOU LEBRON, LEBRON APPRECIATION THREAD". Like seriously where is your self respect and dignity? He just ditched your team again. You're acting like a wife whose husband just left her for a younger woman but she's grateful because he bought her a BMW 3 series a few years ago. My theory is that they're all brainwashed by the media's huge pro LeBron propaganda campaign this last season. They set it all up on purpose so nobody would get mad at him for leaving his hometown team again, this time just to become a movie star lmao. It really makes you lose respect for your fellow human beings to see how mentally weak they are.

As time has passed, I am more disappointed and angry than I was when the news first broke. I don't have any ill will towards LeBron and I'll appreciate him for leading us to a title and all his off the court work in the area, but I'm pretty disappointed in him and I do think it shows that at the end of the day Akron alone is his home and the loyalty and love for Cleveland he professed are minimal. I can't imagine a player in American sports ever meaning as much to a city as LeBron has to Cleveland and a small market team and the surrounding area will definitely see the consequences of him leaving. The fact he left to go play on a bad Lakers team with LaVar Ball there and KCP, Javale McGee, and Stephenson being their other summer signings, in front of fans that have historically hated his guts and will never love him like Clevelanders idolized him, most likely condemning him when he fails to take a meh Lakers team past the Warriors saying he's no Kobe, makes it sting even more. And he didn't just sign there. He committed for four years on the first day of free agency.

The truth has to be somewhere in the middle. I don't see why he's obligated to stay. It's his career, his family, his choice and he's a free agent.

I doubt if the Lakers are done with this signing. what's the starting 5? isiah thomas, kuzma, lavar, lopez, lebron? nah not good enough to dethrone the Warriors in the West.

Wow you're right about that site. Maybe all these "WE LOVE U BRON" threads and posts I'm seeing on reddit are people literally getting paid by LeBron's team or maybe just 16 year olds.

Laker fans think they hit the jackpot but all the are really getting is a man who basically gave up on that winning over everything mentality and is switching his focus to other stuff.

Not sure how old you are, but do you remember the outcry and animosity from Bulls fans when MJ quit the first or 2nd time? There was none publicly that I recall. Sure they may have been sad, but was still thanked by fans both times for all he did for the team.

I'd be highly pissed if I was a Bulls season ticket holder and found out (a few weeks before the season started) that MJ was quitting the league while still under contract.

Chicago has had other past success with the Bears, to where the Cavs title was the first Cleveland sports title in like 60-some years. Before James, the Cavs had won 4 playoff series in their existence and 2 of them were in the same postseason. That's a long time when you have 3 professional Sports teams.

Its understandable to see where you're coming from that Cavs fans should be upset, but James gave them something they didn't have for a long time,...... constant competitiveness.

He made the decision that was best for his family. That speaks to the growth he's shown as a man much more than just pulling the strings on the next super team.

I don't think that says anything negative about his desire to win and realistically he'll have a better basketball situation around him in LA than what Cleveland has become, especially when there's a max contract slot available next summer.

As for Cleveland, he gave you 11 years of a level of play 27 other franchises have never seen. Let the guy do what he wants to do without assigning your own personal feelings to the move. His moving to LA should not change the personal value you assign to the city you love.

I love how there was no fanfare , just a standard press release. Guy is in Europe doing no interviews, he doesn’t care what you think

Can someone explain to me how Lebron got almost 40 million per year with the Lakers? What is the max for a non super max? What is the super Max? I thought the most the Lakers could pay Lebron would be about 30 mill per year. What are the rules?

Preach.

We live in a culture where the masses are prisoners of the moment and heavily steeped in cognitive dissonance.

How many "LeBron could surpass/has surpassed Jordan" stories did we all read and hear over the last year? Elhassan's statement that LeBron just needs one more title to be the GOAT is a perfect example of how people have lost their minds.

LeBron won't ever be KOBE, let alone Jordan. MJ has him beat easily in the numbers and intangibles but somehow we're expected to entertain the bull "LeBron GOAT" narrative endlessly.

So if there was animosity from Bulls fans toward MJ then, why is there almost no animosity from Cavs fans toward Lebron now?

I suppose I'm just taken aback by how reactions are primarily well wishes for someone who is switching teams rather than retiring or being traded. People are acting as if he just needs to retire to take care of his family when he's actually making a personal decision to change teams, taking a 154 million contract for at least four years, and possibility getting to play with Leonard or another star.

Makes sense for non-Cavs fans to debate his decisions, but how are Cavs fans fine with it? There's basically an economy built on his presence there.

And i'm almost certain that leonard will go there too now.

winners? i dont consider 1st round exits as winners, but whatever. hes irrelevant now, when it comes to the real competitors for championships.

Woke up, realized Lebron James is on the Lakers and we still have moves to make.

Its an awesome feeling tbh.

Gotta hand it to Magic, the man delivered on his promise. The addition of Lebron alone vaults this team into the top 4 in the west, and I believe this team has enough talent to make things interesting against the Warriors and Rockets. I don't see the need in gutting our roster for Kawhi now...he'll pursue us next season. :D
