It really does sound like that other fellow said during his interview: Everything just stopped.
"I don't know of any player that, when the shot goes up, he doesn't want it to go in," Donovan said

They're reporting the pilot missed the top of the ridge by 20-30 ft
This shouldn't have happened, and it's a stark reminder for everyone that life truly is a game of inches.

Rest in Peace to one of the greatest shooting guards to every play in the nba.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

I can't get over the irony that the whole reason the guy every took choppers was to save time to be with his family.
It really feels like the pilot took the chance because he wanted to make his high profile client happy.
Who wouldn't want to try an impress another legend with your skills.
This could be why Kobe tagged the guy as his personal pilot.
I hate to think the guy might have been motivated by a nice tip from Kobe.

Why they shared with the public I am not sure. Hut I do know that under such shocking circumstances, knowing as much info as possible kinda helps bring closure...at least for me. It helps it sink in...provides understanding.

From all accounts, the pilot was Kobe's guy so he wasn't doing it for tips if Kobe is his regular client.

Re: Kobe Bryant Discussion, Part Two
It’s been 72 hours since that happened, and I still can’t over it. Dark days.
I live in Russia, and I have a dog, American Akita, he’s 4 years old, I decided to name him Kobe, in 2015 when Kobe Bryant was playing his last season in NBA.
I have never thought that Kobe Bryant would die earlier then my dog.
Devastated. Rest In Peace basketball icon.

Re: Kobe Bryant Discussion, Part Two
I don't even post online any more pretty much, but of course now I've got to write something, even though it's really hard since I have a silly feeling that once I post about Kobe's death, it will make it 100% real. While I still cannot quite believe that Kobe, his lovely Gianna and 7 other innocent persons perished so suddenly and tragically...
Rest in peace, you all! Even though it does not really matter for your mourning families, the world will remember this sad day and all who died then. Especially you, Kobe, whom I've been a fan of since I read his daring interview in 1996, just before the draft. And I will remain your fan forever. You were one of a few the greatest Lakers in history and perhaps Top-10 player ever. Already before the Sunday disaster you were a legend, but now you somehow became even greatest legend and will be embedded in hearts of both the current fans and all their future generations!

Yup, last they talked was Kobe's retirement game. That's wild.
And also Shaq, man that dude's going through a lot. Losing his younger sister, now Kobe, all not too far apart from each other. Hope things get better for 'em.

There's no black box, there's no audio.
what the video posted before is it's just the helicopter passing by then abruptly you wont hear it (because of the impact).
