I thought he was considered the most NBA ready game? I really like Robinson but I'm wary of Kansas forwards these days.

Playing too fast for his own good.

Showing more then I thought he would defensively, mainly in his help defense which has shown some great flashes at times - but still really struggles to finish near the rim (Like we needed another one like that..) - and in general still doesn't quite find himself although there's some improvements imo.

I can see him making a few more steps forward and finishing the year better as he settles down a bit - but in general to me atleast not a surprise, as I saw him all the time as more of a project in terms of his offense etc being strictly a role player the first couple years - and that it'll be his work ethic in the summers that'll expand his game slowly and make him what he can be.

His number 1 goal is to be able to make that jumper wet, that's the key to his offense down the line as he's pretty good in 1-2 dribble penetration being so quick and athletic, and he shown some nice passing instincts aswell.

He always plays hard and the hustle is always there - so in general you can't go wrong with that and it'll pay off more once he settles down and is able to adjust to finishing better (alot of his misses were just gimmies under the rim that he should be able to finish with his athletic ability despite his size, and it's not that he's really forcing the issue to much - so that's not a really major issue to me at this point, although if it continues throughout the year it will be)

This is not a knock but does he remind you of Marcus Fizer at all? Tweener in a bangers body?

He's got a great handle for a four, is there a reason he's struggling to finish at the rim?

Again, alot of his misses are just sorta gimmies around the rim and him not taking 'clean' shots - I think it's just part of him playing too fast and not taking his time in general - and he's still trying to work that jumpshot which isn't quite there yet.

I think once he learns how to create that extra space for himself with his body and strength, and take his time a little using more of his lift - he'll improve in terms of finishing.

I don't see him really failing or busting personally, cause he just has the right attitude and hustle on the count together with the work ethic off the court - and he combines that with great athletic and physical ability.

That's winning 80% of the battle in terms of the NBA imo, and is just a question of time, to me atleast, until he improves his weaknesses and expand his game from being just a role playing rebounder/hustle guy.

Thanks for the insight.

I have faith in T-Rob and I'm sure he will be fine.

The dunk I remembered was the one that Durant put on Val. Went through him like he wasn't even there.

Yeah my man got owned there :( although in that situation Durant might be the only player he couldn't block on that dunk attempt. Not only did Durant get up high, but he's freakily long too that not even Jonas' length could reach.

Although he had a funny quote where he said something like "It didn't make me want to punch something though", indirect jab at Amare  though I'm sure he meant to say he wasn't going to let the play affect his game and he moved on from it already.

I would rather a big risk getting posterized and made to look a fool protecting the rim than a big who won't hustle in that position because of the risk of ending up on someone's wall.

Props to Val for that.

Waiters' 28 points isn't fooling me. I love the wiretap headline on RealGM too, "Waiters Showcases Why Cavaliers Liked Him 4th Overall"

even though all he did was hit flukey 3 pointers that game and he wasn't even known as a 3pt shooter coming out of college.

+1 I'm still sticking to my guns that he'll be a bust.

Surprised how well Valanciunas is doing, considering the fact that, well....he barely ever gets the ball passed to him.

MKG gets the rookie treatment. He takes it to the rack hard and gets hit but no call every time.

9 pts, 8 reb, 3 blocks, 3 assists though. But he should have gone to the foul line at least 4 times.

Waiters shot about the same clip in college from 3 as Beal and Barnes (I actually think it was better). People unfairly labeled his shot as poor just because it wasn't "pretty". Waiters showed more than just hitting 3's vs the Clips, he got in the lane, played good D, played well with the ball in his hands, and most importantly played well with Irving on the floor.
