Bskey wrote:About Waiters being a reach, he was. Hindsight can make it look better but at the time of the draft it was considered a pretty big reach. I don't know how this is hating on the Cavs or Waiters, if anything they deserve credit for making the pick and he deserves credit for proving he was worth it. If you guys want to take that as hate and ridicule go ahead, I can't make that decision for you.

Remember when OKC drafted Westbrook, how about Harden? Both were considered to be drafted too high at the time.

Most people, including a lot of Cavs fans hated the Waiters pick, or are our memories that short here?

James Harden wasn't a reach. He was consider the top 4 pick in the draft and was also willing to play behind Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Yea what is it with Toronto and JV? I watched the Raps-Wolves game and seemed like the Raptors were playing keep away from JV. Why the Hell isn't he getting more touches or any passes at all for that matter?

To be fair JV hasn't shown he is quite good enough to get the touches he calls for, which is pretty much every trip down the court. That being said he needs to play with a really good P&R guy, like Calderon to max his potential.

I'm not going to argue with you or choker, But seriously let the kid get some shine before you start hating...

Can't argue with criticism --> "Stop hating"

LMAO it was textbook hating. There was no real criticsism from either of you.

"he had a good game but he's gonna be a bust"

how is that attitude not just straight hating? lol

lol what's wrong with that? Hating would be saying he sucks despite the good game.

Yeah this. There's more about the game he needs to learn. Half the time he catches the ball in the post he throws up a wild shot; that's just him needing to get used to the way defenses play him in the league.

Nothing. I'm mostly talking to that banana guy acting like his criticisms were legit, and not hating lol.

I hate/troll random players that I hate too, his reponse was just kinda funny lol.

Also, thats what you were basically saying. oh sorry, you didn't say he "sucks", you just said he's a clear bust still LOL.

I'm one of Waiters' doubters but he did have a nice game with his 28.

I don't know if he can keep that up though. The games before his 28 point game had him playing off-ball too and he played poorly. Now he also played some off-ball in his 28 point game but a couple of his 3s were iso threes. If he gets that down then great. He's got confidence in his game and if he pans out, he and Irving will be deadly. Just needs to work on his off-ball game but that doesn't necessarily mean forgetting what he does best which is to make plays with him handling the ball.

Waiters looked exhausted and passive out there, Still that's no excuse at all for that terrible play tonight.
12 points and 5 assists is good, but it just seemed like he was settling for too many jumpers not really attacking tonight.

Barnes looked decent, but that flop was uncalled for

Either way good game GSW warriors fans, Hopefully we can give you guys a more competitive game next time.

He needs to put the ball on the deck vs. lumbering Cs a bit more. One move he'd go to in Europe was a baseline drive where he'd drive for a reverse or go up the same side for a little 2 hander, I think he can pull that off against some of the bigger bodies like Kaman.

yes it was, when he begins his drive he switches pivot feet, but meh, that's rarely called anyway. everybody gets away with that.

Tristan Thompson shouldn't have been the fourth pick - okay fine. It was a ballsy pick and while he looks like a good player, there was better value to be had at the time.

Cleveland is an advanced stats team and used a tweaked version of last year's model to arrive at another suprise this year in Waiters. But this guy can really play. I expect him to be on next year's East All Stars.

Tristan Thompson is disappointing me lately, I know he is very raw but man he needs an offensive game and fast..
Dion needs to work on a few things like finishing consistently and working on shot selection.

What is Lillard's actual height ? He is listed as 6'3 but looks smaller than Chris Paul.

He's 6'3" in shoes according to DX (CP3 is 6'1"). That's about as legit as it gets. Wingspan is 6'8" which is great for a PG (Paul's is 6'4").

I don't rate Thompson at all, but Waiters has been better than i thought he would be this early.

If only Waiters was 6'6".

His height is the main concern for me.
