If all of Tennessee's bigs foul out, how can they stay in this game? Ziegler (too many missed free throws) and Jordan-James need to get involved.

Tenessee has no offensive scheme outside of Knecht's shooting and transition points. It's pathetic.

Vols are gonna lose at this rate. Can't generate any offense outside of Knecht. Purdue's guards aren't that strong or particularly tall. Yet they can't take advantage of it.

Ziegler's playing pretty awful and Jordan-James isn't even trying to get involved. The latter is a 5th year player too. Like is he scared?

They aren't even denying him touches in the post though. You can't just play behind him and let him catch it, then decide you're going to contest.

Over his last 25 games, he has 3 games where he had 0 fouls and just 2 games with 4 fouls.

There is a combination of things that just makes this so unlikely.

He’s a high high volume low post scorer. He doesn’t do this with some elite high level footwork. This dude uses shoulders and elbows as often as other college bigs. College calls a ton of offensive fouls on other low post scorers. He also averages over 2 blocks per game. That means he contests plenty of shots as well.

I’m sorry the lack of fouls he gets called for and the amount that he draws is just ridiculous.

Also to be clear, I think Edey is a stud and is an elite college big no matter what. It’s just that college refs have no idea how to ref him. And it makes Purdue games so hard to watch.

Edey has shot more FT than Tennessee. If we go by NBA reffing standards, a big man like Edey would have 3 offensive fouls and 2 FT's.
