Yeah, I was one of those people. Theres still time, competition is pretty stiff. Biggest fall in that draft IMO was Buzelis tho, I feel better about him these days.

Not the best game by the Lakers (with the exception of Luka), but I'll wait for Lebron to return before further judging on how good or bad they will eventually be this season.

NBC clears ABC/ESPN. What a difference in production.

My only quip is I hope they realize they need to use the version of Roundball Rock they used on TV during their first run. The version theyr'e using is the original track which is long winded and repetitive. But I guess they lost all their versions when Comcast bought NBC.

He has a very anti JK box line

JK has always been willing to pass. He just isn't always able. When he has to put the ball on the floor his vision cone gets very narrow. But he's not actually selfish, just limited.

I think that was one of the worst performances I have ever seen from a player from Reed yesterday. Not only because he sucked, I never saw someone be so confident in his abilities while sucking so much and then even being a 2nd year player. Like what’s your justification for playing one iso after another, not passing the ball to Durant or sengun and always looking for your own shot? Dude you’re not it, give the ball to the big dogs

It really is a ****ing shame refs robbed us of an all time funny blunder with KD calling the timeout with no timeouts. That would have been timeless

Before the games yesterday, I watched the fan duel show with Lou and Parsons, and I also watched the NBC pregame show with vince and them.

They ALL think the Lakers are contenders. They all think Ayton is a game changer. At this point, I really believe gassing that roster is just a media decision, because anyone with any team building chops or have watched the core of this squad together knows that it's an incomplete team with big problems.

it's because they haven't watched him much. Anybody who actually watched him play properly knows what he is.

Feel bad for Luka, man. Finally gets a good team in Dallas, takes them to the finals, then gets backstabbed by his GM and is now surrounded by complete garbage again as he enters his peak years.

Look at what we have coming off the bench. Jarred Vanderbilt, Jaxson Hayes, Jake LaRavia, and the corpse of Marcus Smart. We have GABE VINCENT starting games. This team is beyond doomed.

This’ll be like when Kobe was by himself for Luka. It’s worse now though because a superstar player can’t carry as much as they used to due

Ah, a proper reminder of karma. Lakers fans trying to gaslight us all into thinking they weren’t going to suck this year, but the Ayton train was already ready to make some stops. Then you guys have Marcus smart out here trying to dislocate shoulders in the 1st quarter of opening night.

Pathetic yet so appropriate. LA has finally learned how to beat themselves.

They won last year, but before that, it had been 8 years.

2020 - L vs. LAC
2019 - L @ LAC
2018 - L @ POR
2017 - L vs. LAC
2016 - W vs. HOU

Team sucks on opening night.

It's so fun watching Curry throw flames in clutch situations now.

Funny because I used to feel like he was a semi choker but now he's just reached a level of dgaf where it looks like he really loves the pressure shots. I actually never saw a transition from choker to super clutch like that.
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Ayton is one of the least fun players to watch that I can remember.
