Just inviting the Slovenian team to get some rhythm and giving Luka a gameplan to just find others.

Yeah he had 6 turnovers but their offense found open shots left, right and centre.

It's great to see him slim and fit. He still nearly lost it for his country as he did in the Tokyo Olympics with his bad temper though.

it reminded me of the nets philly series this year except they were doubling one of the best passers of all time instead of joel embiid.

After today, tier-1 teams to me are Germany, USA, and Canada, BUT it also wouldn't surprise me if any of those lost in the quarters. There is not a single solid team that I could say is a lock to medal. Exciting tournament but unfortunately not the best quality.

Harden post-Houston only wants to pass, so yea that’s a brain dead game plan and terrible scouting report.

What anger from the Toronto days?

Wasn't he subject of jokes in this board during those days? 2 years away from 2 years away?

Btw, Brazil is killing Canada on the board. Brooks 0 points, Barrett 1 points.

This could be an unnecessary upset. Canada is playing down to their competition.

Just checked the box score, Barrett turning in an all-timer. One point in 27 minutes.

Just missed a layup too.

Strange game for Canada.

Hard to know who to blame. SGA has done a lot of dribbling with his head down and shooting without looking at his teammates. Yet when he has passed it, they've thrown up junk.

Never underestimate Canada's ability to choke when it comes to Olympic qualifying. No way this game should be this close.

1 point, 6 rebounds and 3 assists in roughly 50 combined minutes for Barrett and Brooks is a great place to start.

Alexander-Walker has been brutal in the 2nd half, missing all his open looks. Olynyk got beat off the dribble way too many times. Just a bad showing all the way around

Dillon Brooks absolutely roasted on the game's most important possession. You just hate to see it.

Terrible, just terrible.

If they lose this one, the game against Spain is a must win. And playing Spain is never easy.

If they lose this one and the Spain game, not only they lose the QF berth and the Olympic spot, but they won't make the Olympics altogether IMO.

The QT's are a bloodbath, and are held in late june of next year, just after the NBA Finals/Playoffs end. No **** way there won't be a ton of NBA caliber players missing that tournament.

If they had won this game, they would basically have their Paris tickets already.

The star of this game is number 2, but not Shai.

Are you just reading the box score?

Watching the game is a different story.

They are just standing there watching a ball hog half the game. Yeah RJ is 0-7 but it's hard to get involved and get a rhythm when you have a guy just going one on one every second trip down the court.
