What is the argument for Durant for MVP in 2018? Best player, best team? Nope Warriors were 7 games back and finished 3rd overall. Stats? Nope. MVP who happened to also have BPBT going for him led comfortably in PPG. He only played 68 games which is on the low side. The Warriors did better with Durant out than with Curry out which hirts the MVP case too.

It's not about two stars on the same team, it's about him not playing like an MVP that season. You seem to be straw manning here.
Only 7 Players in NBA history have 21,000 points, 5,750 assists and 5,750 rebounds. LeBron has double those numbers.

This is a major problem if you are unable to see the difference of a complete roster between this current Lakers team and the Warriors ... I mean before KD joined the warriors they had won 140 games and make the finals in 2 years! ... No way Durant was going to win the MVP in 2017 ... But the LeBron haters are unable to see the difference.

BTW, I'll say another time, since I wouldn't be surprised if you forget, but Giannis is my pick for the MVP for this year and it will be well deserved for him. Most of the LeBron fan admit that but their hater will say what they want to hear even if LeBron fans never said that, so it's nothing new!

i don't care enough to argue for Durant MVP in 2018, that's not the point. the point is that LeBron stans had already concluded Steph/KD can't win an MVP because they played together, and pulled that BS for 3 straight years, yet here are now LeBron playing with another top5 player and here are his stans like clockwork switching the narrative...again.

that's not the point, the point are the mental gymnastics you LeBron groupies always try to pull to BS whatever narrative of the day you wanna push.

Durant was fifth that season and finished below Curry who played like 10 fewer games. Arguments against Durant had nothing to do with LeBron stans' mental gymnastics or whatever petulant inanity you want to vomit out into the world.

Do everyone a favor, yourself most of all, and step away from they keyboard because you're working hard to cement a reputation as one of the most irrational posters on the forum, largely incapable of putting together a coherent position or any kind or reasoned argument leaning instead heavily on shallow, poorly thought out one liners and petty snipes which out you an insecure, obnoxious, bitter person who speaks incessantly while saying nothing.

S1, personal attack. Completely unacceptable way to talk to someone on this board. Argue about Lebron all you guys want but do not attack the individual poster, regardless of your feelings towards them or their posts.

If Steph and KD cancelled each other out of the MVP race why isn’t the same said for Davis and James?

Davis is putting up 26/10 on 50% shooting.

it's okay to admit your hypocrisy and move on, it's fine, we all have an inherent bias, but to pretend that you LeBron stans haven't been BSing every year to try and get your boy the MVP is pretty comical.

if Steph/Durant were automatically DQ'd from the MVP conversation -- that was literally your guys' point the last 3 years...why aren't Davis/LeBron?

lemme guess...because they played with 5ppg Iggy and 9ppg Draymond?

so you guys get to come up with the exact threshold of when a player should qualify for MVP and when they shouldn't? what about when LeBron won MVPs with Wade and Bosh, did you have a problem with it then?

Care to quote my mental gymnastics or you just going to keep tilting at straw men? I'm not pushing LeBron MVP and haven't claimed he should have gotten one since 2014 when he stopped going all out in the regular season. So try responding to what's actually being said instead of making stuff up because you're tired of LeBron being relevant.

And it's comical to hear you talking about mental gymnastics when you were just talking about Durant MVP 2018, got called on you foolishness then abruptly stumbled blindly off in another direction. Go back to playing with your tinker toys and let the grow ups talk.

2011 would have been a problem ... For the other years, not since Wade, even if he was still an all-star in 2012 and 2013 in regular season, he was no longer a top 5 players in the NBA with his problems with his knees .... Also the Heat had not the same depth as the Warriors (Our 4th best player in 2012 was Mario Chalmers) and the heat had some big weaknesses as in rebounds or against teams with good big man.Lack of spacing in 2012 were also a problem that many forget because of the last game in the NBA finals.

I said in a another thread that Draymond was a biggest reason why the warriors had a great defense in 2015 to 2017
