Embiid vs Jokic info from the email NBA.com sent me this morning...

Image

Note: Only seven of the eight head-to-head matchups included matchup data

Embiid’s Sixers hold a 6-2 edge over Jokic’s Nuggets in head-to-head matchups, including their most recent game on Jan. 16.

(I don't know why they only included 7 of the 8 games in the graphic or which game was not included. I just work here you guys jeez.)

Looks like Embiid is scoring a lot of points, but on a league-average fg% and with a lot of turnovers, so not quite impressive.

Embiid is anything but dominant in playoffs, this is the truth man, sorry to burst your bubble. I get it this forum hates Embiid too much and I understand that you need to counter the hate but damn, you make it easy at times lol

Embiid's stats in elimination games (9 games sample size, 3-6 record) are:

22-11-2 on .38 fg% (.25 3p%) with 4.6 turnovers.

He was the worst player on the floor in game 7 last year.

Embiid's odds are going to skyrocket if he beat Jokic without Maxey and Harris

Totally impossible, I don't remember any great game Embiid has ever had in the altitude (Denver or Utah), he will crap the bed most likely.

If Maxey and Harris are missing, then it's the second and third best player missing, Embiid won't hurt his MVP case significantly if he has a good game in terms of individual stats, unless Jokic destroys him 1 on 1 or something like that.
The most probable outcome I expect from this game is a blowout by Denver and Embiid playing 30 minutes or less, maybe this way he won't feel the altitude effects as much lol

Lmao this is set up to make sure it doesn’t effect Embiid negatively now. This feels forced. “Well he doesn’t have his second or third best player so if they lose it won’t mean anything”

This is a no lose game for him. Perfect game not to duck. He loses he can point to having no support. If he has a good game above still applies same with a bad game. If the 76ers win then it’s all good. No lose situation at all. Why he duck this game. There no way he will come off looking bad

It's possible, but he will at least have to show he can play in the altitude, score the ball well for example and not crap the bed and go 6/17 or something like that.

If he has an individually bad game, critics can point out he ducked Denver and Utah because he cannot play well in the altitude. He "wins" if he shows he can play well in the altitude too.

Even if Embiid has a bad game he won’t get any negative press because what he has to work with.

Anything to fit your agenda.

Maxey twisted his ankle last game. I'd say of everyone, he was the one most likely to play.

Harris has missed the past 2-3 games. Melton has been scheduled to be out with his back issue for about 2 weeks, he was playing through it, and his missed a few games already. Marcus Morris has plantar fascitis. Mo Bamba has a fat pad issue in his knee (again basically has missed all games since Embiid returned). Covington has been out for a while, and will continue to be out.

But keep pushing this wild conspiracy theory narrative.

Good god, can you guys just accept that you're wrong sometimes?

No he doesn't wear a tin foil hat, and also knows that he's been hampered by injuries in the playoffs. Not everyone spends their whole time coming up with ways to put down this man lol.
