SGA is easily the second best player in the NBA. Luka and Giannis aren't on his level.

Of course he wants to play, even through injury, but he didn't bring anything to the table.
Wasn't even "good" enough to act as a decoy.
He did OKC a favor playing him as much as he did in the 4th
I agree.

TJ McConnell was cooking. He should have finished the game.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

Cmon kids. He’s clearly injured, and you just saw him play like a star most of this series. Get out of middle school and learn some nuance.
People also need to stop brining up the poll. 13 players voted for him, out of 90. Hardly a representative sample size

People just don't like Hali. I personally think he's a cornball. But it is what it is.

I'm not trying to preach or anything but doesn't it seem kinda middle-school girl to have big opinions about the personalities of the elite competitors we're watching? I really don't get it. People that do this type thing legit seem like losers mumbling in the corner to me.

The guy is obviously injured.

Kendrick Perkins was never a good player. He should be fired for calling Haliburton scared.

The Pacers wouldn't be here without Haliburton. Tyrese literally made NBA more than once on playoff game winners.

Woodsanity, I think criticism of the player that carried the Pacers this far is insanity.

While I do think Haliburton will get too much criticism for this game I also think he needed to figure out how to be productive any way he could. He did look scared out there.

I say that and Perk sucks.
He was probably playing tentatively because of injury. You saw scared and a "he should have." I recall his body of work this entire playoffs.

Was he scared against the Knicks when they called him overrated?

He didn't look scared doing the choke gesture.

Haliburton is a courageous competitor who is probably guilty at times of not initiating his team's offense. Today, I think he flat out looked injured.

Basketball has always had star players with personality. Showtime Magic Johnson smiling while running down the court and making crazy passes. Dr J with high flying dunks. Bird with his trash talking and no nonsense attitude. Dennis Rodman with his died hair, tattoos and all the antics. MJ high flying and in those Nike commercials and Space Jam. Charles Barkley and all his outspoken comments. The list goes on.

Today it's amplified with social media and the crazy money these players make.

 That’s exactly how it’s done.
+/- in a 5 game sample isn’t the most sound but I can see how OKC shakes out this way:

Chet +35
Wiggins +25
Caruso +15
SGA +14
Jalen +6

Chet was arguably a GM-maneuvering steal of an era. Without him they’re a tough second round out. With his crazy (and quiet) versatility they’re likely gonna win a convincing ‘ship. I actually enjoy watching SGA the least on the Thunder and I took special interest in him as a rookie.

Hoping the refs are for Indiana next game, because they need it to extend the series.

Took OKC some time to settle into this series, especially Jalen Williams, but they're clearly the better team as predicted. If one of JDub and Chet complement SGA (who always brings it) with a good performance and some of their role players knock down a couple of threes, you stand no chance against them. They're so dominant defensively.

I should've put money on my preseason prediction of them winning the title.
