What a game from the GOAT tonight, 2-7 with 6 turnovers, better than peak MJ! Definitely Jamal Murray's fault he can't outplay Jaxson Hayes.

Maybe one day he can have teammates capable of making simple entry passes.

Jokic didn't show any effort on defence tonight, lakers showed a blueprint for slowing him down offence. Unacceptable from an MVP candidate

As a big Jokic stan, it's hard to give him the MVP when he has had zero signature performances against contenders since the new year began. This same lethargic effort he displayed today was what he did against the Wolves and Knicks which happened right before this winning streak against bottom feeders. SGA is looking more and more likely to locking this one up.

Blueprint. Hes been solved. The 3x fmvp who averages more ppg on better efficiency and LeBron and KD in the playoffs against....playoff teams.... has been solved by the JJ Reddick Lakers.

Obviously its not a low effort regular season game against a team Jokic himself has said, and I quote "gets boring to play against". Not that.

The blueprint for slowing him down

Some of you are pathetic. Jokic has his 3rd bad game in a year and a half, against a team he has said has gotten boring to play against, and he's now overrated.

Denver has eliminated superior versions of the Lakers 2 years in a row and won how many games in a row?

I thought only the Celtics had childish irrational haters. Goddamn.

So Jokic stops trying when he gets bored and you expect us to think he's the GOAT?

MJ is the GOAT.

Jokic isn't a top 10 all time player yet.

Wants to win and not eat donuts like a tubby.

3x mvp and a champion. What has SGA done that's meaningful outside of lose?

Hey, at least you've acknowledged whole heartily that you aren't being objective and are hating. Appreciate that self awareness.

Also, there's not a single person here who has Jokic as the goat, or even in their top 10.

You're basically just taunting yourself. Really strange.

His stans say he's the best in the world and a GOAT tier OFFENSIVE player who likely doesn't even break their all time top 10s.

Show me people who claim he's anything more than that.

It's Jokic anyone who thinks it isn't is crazy.

I think he takes his game to another level in the playoffs. If Murray steps it up they'll be champions again.

Jokic could have been a 5x MVP, just insane he has to be in the GOAT discussion if he gets 2 more championships.

hhahhaha all the haters joined after one bad game from Jok in 5 years XD
His teammates cant throw entry pass when 3 smaller guards are guarding him, and also playing with 4 non-shooters is really his fault.

Read on Twitter

That is why i think Nuggets dont have any chance vs healthy OKC. They are smart and will play this kind of defense. 3 guys on Jokic and let everyone else shoot instead of cut. Jokic played tonight with Hunter Tyson/Braun/Najji/Westbrook at the same time, and he gets tripple teamed. They couldnt even get him the ball, and even if they do, what is he suposed to do? If he passes to 4 open men, they will brick it and he cant go trough 3-4 guys by himself...

Still at the same time, if Lakers and Nuggets meet in PO it will be again sweep or gentleman sweep, and real Lakers fans know that.

OKC pace: 67-15

DEN pace: 53-29

The team gap is still too big for MVP, with the individual gap being negligible.

Jokic had smaller players on him all night and his teammates could never find the angle. One of those things that can happen in a random game but over the course of a playoff series? I’m pretty sure they would figure it out. They should have been running some different actions last night when it became clear his teammates were utterly incapable of making entry passes.

His PER took a giant drop from 33.5 to 33.1 in a single game. His WS/48 and BPM took similiar hits.

Still 1st, 2nd, and 1st all-time, respectively.

One game is one game.

Still leading the league in WS and VORP.

Still 3rd, 3rd, 2nd, 4th, and 4th in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, and three-point percentage.

Still plus twelve OnCourt, still plus twenty OnOff.

Still 30/13/10 on 57/45/82.

Still 70% on Bbref's MVP Tracker to SGA's 24%.

Just some context for what was a really abysmal (albeit, triple-double) game last night. MVP should be an 82 game award, not a Saturday Night Primetime award.

That’s pretty sad. I may have disagreements with posters but I don’t hate people. I sure don’t let it influence how I watch games and basketball. I feel sad for you bro. Not an existence I wouldn’t want to be in. Sad life. Hope you can heal from the trauma that those “Stans” have brought upon your life.

The team gap is still too big for MVP, with the individual gap being negligible.

The Thunder are also 12-3 against the top 5 seeds with SGA averaging 34 6 and 5 in those games vs 32 5 and 6 for the season. So SGA's numbers actually get better when he's playing the best teams this year.

Denver is 3-9 against the top 5 seeds, the worst record by far of any top 3 seed, with Jokic averaging 22 13 and 10 in those games vs 29 13 10 for the season. Jokic this year has not been as good when facing the best teams and has been getting more of his stats against the bad teams.
