He just won an NBA title and was a finals MVP and put up 50+ points in a championship game.

"Oh and the Bucks record isn't very impressive."

Oh and what does that make the Sixers record?

My god you're delusional. Its possible that Embiid is a really good basketball player without being the lead candidate for MVP. These things can't co-exist in your head apparently.

LMAO you really are a troll. I can hear you actually saying those words and screaming them.

Here's a tip, try and relax. Don't let your blood pressure get to high. I'd hate for something to happen to you.

The Bucks won last year, and they deserved it, but it's a new season. They are not as good as they were last year, and like it or not record plays a big role in deciding the MVP. You clearly don't actually follow how the sixers have performed to see that they're one of the hottest team's in the league right now, and have shot up the standings, since Embiid returned from Covid. I know it's tough with your boy Joker losing steam in the MVP race, but try to remain composed.

Lol unlike you I have no problem giving credit where credit is due. If Embiid is the legitimate leading candidate for MVP I'd have no problem saying so, but he's simply not.

Pad yourself on the back when Embiid wins an MVP and has one like Jokic. Until then, try to show some humility little guy. No one likes a staunch fanboy.
Maybe take a look in the mirror buddy. It's "pat" yourself on the back btw.

Embiid will never play enough games to be eligible to win an MVP

It’s still Steph.

He’s showing how important he is. When he’s not superhuman the Warriors look like trash - shows how valuable a full cylinder Steph is.

And he always plays better after all star break - they’ll rev it into high gear for a few months.

LAL played awesome defense tonight. They would make a piece of wet toilet paper proud.

Interesting to see Giannis as the massive MVP favorite on here.

I do think he is undervalued.

Curry is still the favorite though, I wonder how many realize that.

Without Jrue, Giannis couldn't win the voting. Probably Curry will get and voted for him.

Bucks are simply not playing well enough for Giannis to win it. They can turn it around but as of now I don't think so.

KD getting injured prob takes him out of it.

To me its still Steph.

If he couldn't keep his team at least 4th spot in the East, they wouldn't give him the award.

It's KD right now. He is playing great and his team is 2nd in the East. Of the other players with great individual seasons Bucks are 4th, 76ers are 5th in the East, Nuggets are 6th in the West. Warriors are 2nd in the West but Curry is playing bad. Maybe we should give more love to DeRozan and Ja.

lol I like where you're going with this. His team losing when he sucks is just more proof of his importance.

Sixers are only 2.5 games out of the east 1 position. It’s tight at the top of the east between 1-6 seeds. So any good week or bad week can change the seeding quickly these days. Looking at the sixers next 4-5 games I wouldn’t be surprise if they move up to 3 or even 2 in the east. But they still got tons of injuries. Always 3 rotation guys or starters missing almost every game. So it’s really Embiid carrying the team. They are 22-9 with embiid. I really wonder who good the sixers are if the ever had a healthy lineup playing more than 2-3 games together. And this is not even including Simmons as the missing player.

Too early to say who will be mvp

Media will give it to curry if warriors stay in top 2 slot in the west.

Curry
Giannis (for now)
KD (who will likely miss games)
Embiid
Morant
Gobert

Jokic will get votes but nuggets Need to move into the top 4 slot. Call it mvp fatigue.

Embiid is a non-factor. He has missed 11 games already and is due to miss approximately another 10-12 like he always does.

I mean, the poll was reset after the Golden State showdown…

The Bucks have lost 5 of 7 but Giannis has been impressive in most of these games so him and Jokic are surely in the same boat right now. Elite stats on teams that are sort of on the outside looking in.

If Steph wins MVP this season playing the way he is, he'll be an even worse MVP winner than DRose and Nash.

Zero chance he wins MVP playing like this, so I dont think you need to worry.

If he wins it, it will be because he significantly improves his play.

Lmao he missed only 2 games to actual injury. Let's not talk about your boy Giannis who has his annual knee scare. Fact of the matter is Embiid had been healthy this season, counting on him getting injured is a pretty bad reason to discount him. Obviously if he does he's out of the running but that hasn't happened yet.

Yep, although i do believe that he wouldn't win regardless.
It's a 2 man race basically. Steph and Giannis.
Jokic, DeRozan, Gobert, Embiid, Morant will be mentioned and all but unless things change dramatically my money would go to the first two.
