So happy for Orlando fans, they've got such a promising young team. It's amazing as at the start of the year they looked to be in a long, long rebuilding process. Not anymore.

And they'll likely get the #1 overall pick since that's how the NBA works whenever a team loses their superstar. It never fails that the first season after a team loses their start that if they're in the lottery, they'll likely win it.

That Howard trade looks so much better day by day.

Lillard with 22 points on 8-16 shooting including 4-5 from 3-point range and 4 assists with the win against the Hawks in Atlanta.

Another solid game for Jonas V despite being ignored by his teammates

10 and 7 on 5/6 shooting

which means that in his last 8 games his scoring numbers are:

FG% = 67% (39/58)
FT% = 83% (20/24)
TS% = 71.5%

Singler with 18/8 against Miami. He's not a starter in this league IMO, but he'll make an elite 2nd unit player.

He had a huge 3 with like 2 and half left that gave Portland the breathing room they needed to get the win.

Davis is starting to show clearly that he is clearly a much better player than Lillard. He doesn't have the minutes yet to make the case as ROTY but if he keeps getting 35 a night for the rest of the season I think he should overtake him

People are really underestimating how good he has been this year.

Fantastic game for our front line. We are witnessing the beginning of something truly special with Anthony Davis! Played really aggressive despite gettin battered by Z-BO. Kept his energy up and stayed active. Guy was gettin rebounds while getting pushed around. Cant wait for him to get stronger, but another good double-double by the Big Brow. :)

Also, I still dont care for winning much at this point :-?

Depending on how Davis can develop his body I think he will be a better player than Dwight.
If you recall Dwight wasn't huge as a rookie either, and Davis' frame looks like it would fill out much like Dwights with the wide shoulders/long arms.

Davis has a bigger wingspan though Dwight has a slight edge in standing reach.

Davis actually has a far more developed offensive skillset in terms of being able to handle the ball, shoot and utilize finesse moves around the basket. He's also not a liability at the free throw line. His production this season is pretty close to that of Dwight his rookie year.

What makes Davis a better player now than Lillard?

The fact that "If he played 35 MPG" you are assuming he would average 16.5/10/2? By the way, which is statistically no more special than what Lillard is doing right now.

In that case I raise you Drummond. If he was getting 35 MPG he would be 15/15/4. Clearly better than Davis is now.

That would be way better than Lillard statistically. I guess defense also doesn't matter at all? Anthony Davis is already an impactful defender while Lillard is one of the worst defensive Pgs in the league.

I wouldn't put Davis over Lillard for ROY simply because Davis has missed many games but when healthy he can be a much bigger game changer. Drummond also has no case due to similar issues but also a much bigger game changer. Players like Lillard are not exactly uncommon. Plenty of good PGs in the league, some of them can play defense as well.

I'd say a better defender than Batum. I'm not being homer, I just never thought of Batum as a great defensive player.

Harkless just need to add more strength to defend the like of Lebron and Melo more effectively.

Yeah Batum gets **** on a lot. He has his moments due to his good length and athleticism but in general not a steady relaible defender

Is Davis so good already why doesn't he get more minutes and why do they only have 24 wins?

He's proven to have a bit of a fragile body so far and his coach is a bit weird too.

what your basically saying is davis has a shot at winning rookie of the year with 12 games remaining on the hornets schedule, while completely ignoring what lillard has done the entire seaosn. davis doesn't even have a shot at winning rookie of the month for march let alone rookie of the year
