I don't mind very little defense, but it is getting worse. The 3 highest scoring games in history were the last 3 and tonight will be in the same company.

They should make the game objective based. Each team needs to accomplish a list of things. Half court ****, off the board oop, etc. Maybe have colored hot spots that change colors when the objective is accomplished.

If we concede no defense, they need to make it something more than passing back and forth for uncontested dunks.

I support this.

Bring in the Globetrotters as celebrity coaches. I want to see Harden toss the ball to Curry who is standing on AD's shoulders who then drops the ball through a funnel the rest of the guys are holding over the rim.

That would be fun.

Game is a snoozefest. No old man yelling at cloud here....go back to players wearing their own team's jerseys and let the winner of the game get home court advantage in the finals

Do not agree with the winner gets home court advantage but just give them a big paycheck for these things or something to entice the players to play a little harder. Need to light a fire somehow.

I feel like this entire weekend has been phoned in.

I feel like this every year but this year seems like on another level when it comes to this. Just 0 energy on any event this year. Dont know if the Dunk Contest last year made things felt different. But even this year's 3 point contest just seemed phoned in and was so boring and that event is usually always pretty good.

I hope sooner or later the players step up on an all star weekend and go harder like we saw from NFL players and the pro bowl this past year.

Hey! Splash Gordon getting the 3-point win was nice! He was even enough of a showman to let it go to overtime (I tell myself after the fact).

I was just worried that he was standing too close to the 3-point line. He should have been standing 4 feet behind the line.

Although in this case, the NBA was unintentionally quite prescient in booking romantic ballads for the halftime show, because the whole weekend has been equally sleep-inducing.

This is a horrible idea. The MLB tried this idea and finally had to drop it for this upcoming season after years of fan outcry. An exhibition game in the middle of the season should never have the potential to swing a championship series months later.
