We will see where the chips fall with BI getting PG numbers, and if Ball does turn into that generational talent. There are no guarantees. People said Simmons could be a generational talent. I don't understand why I get called crazy when I say Ball could be a generational talent. Heck at least Ball showed range in college.

I'm with you on Ball. He's going to be special. I also think that BI will average 20+ this season. I could be wrong, as I've certainly been wrong before.

Uggghhh...can you imagine this version of Ball with Ingram...wow. Can't wait to destroy the Celtics in the regular season. I got Giannis in my Ingram poster, I'm looking to add Tatum and Haywood to be in my ingram poster collection next.

Also....Kuzma had 31 points and outplayed Tatum with ease. I feel Kuzma is the better prospect than Tatum from this game. And obviously Ball is on another level from Tatum, probably the shoe in for ROY now.

Tonight's game wouldve been a blow out with Ingram playing.

Not to mention, has an avatar of Durant and Ingram with Ingram being 1A. while Durant being the 1B.

I honestly think its just all a big joke to him. I don't think he actually believes anything he posts.

I've also compared Tatum to Kobe in his summer league. My goodness people. Why is it crazy to think BI won't put up PG numbers? It's really not that ridiculous given that the Lakers are going to showcase him on this young team. Ingram is the face of the franchise now, straight from Magic Johnson himself.

Am I lying when I say Lonzo could be a generational talent? Did you see his triple double day? Do you see his passing skills? If you don't think Kidd or Steve Nash were generational talents than by all means, call me crazy.

Did Kuzma not show he was a special prospect today?

I thought he outshined Tatum today. I think the three ball is necessary in this era. Tatum hasn't shown me that yet. He won't be as good in the iso situation once he gets to the regular season imo. Is Kuzma a better prospect? I think it's still possible. I think the door is open on that.

The numbers are going to shrink drastically for both guys(tatum, kuzma) in the regular season. But if Kuzma can hit that 3, and show great fundamentals, I think he can be an immediate impact for the Lakers in a given role, and maybe more depending on how much slack Luke gives him.

  :o

Where to start with these gems?! If you actually believe any of what you wrote

People forget that this is Ingram with Ball on the court, finding him for alley oops, and getting easy twos in transition. 5-6 points a quarter seems feasible to me any way for Ingram.

Travis Diener scored 34 points in Summer League. He should have been a legend.

Is Lonzo projected to start right away? I'm not sure he is ready to defend any starting point guard in the league. My hot take from watching today:

The Good:
- Great vision and good grasp of angles for entry passes
- Releases the ball quickly for create shots before the defence can set up
- Rebounds well for a guard

The Bad:
- While he looks good on-ball, off ball he does nothing except stand 5 feet beyond the 3 line. This could be a simple by-product of summer league play, where there isn't much structure...but damn it looked lazy, and forced him to take some really low percentage 3s. Some movement, set a screen, do something!

The Ugly:
- Defence. Sure its summer league and not the playoffs, but have some pride! Lonzo didn't seem to give a ****, and let guys run past him left and right. Just some basic 'play defence with your feet, not your hands'. If Lonzo is starting this year, I can see every vet PG in league licking the lips and calling ISOs all day long!

Hearing Magic's comments regarding his role and their (LAs) expectations during the broadcast, I think he is in a good situation. LA know he is a work in progress, all this talk of Bust or Kidd v2 seems a little partisan.

This is considered baiting. This is your only warning.

Man... can we put a ban on RingsDontLie posting on the GB? This is getting out of control now.

Jaylen is a perfect case study for the question can you learn "feel" for the game. Great frame, athletic freak, great work ethic, terrible awareness. Needs alot of work but in his current state your not wrong. At least the low iq isnt chucking its more missing opportunities, loose handle etc.

Yeah I don't understand why every Lakers rookie has its own thread on the GB. Seems more appropriate to have that in the SL thread or team forums seeing as no other rookies from other teams besides Taum and maybe one or another has its threads on the GB.
