Yep, although i do believe that he wouldn't win regardless.
It's a 2 man race basically. Steph and Giannis.
Jokic, DeRozan, Gobert, Embiid, Morant will be mentioned and all but unless things change dramatically my money would go to the first two.

Holiday's return makes Giannis a favorite, however if they don't get a top 2 seed and someone else does, Giannis' case might not be that great.

I'm curious to see what the Warriors end up as at the end of the year. Was the amazing early start a fluke? We shall see. Still half a season left, and the race has yet to crystalize.

Embiid should be the front runner at this moment , Jokic have been pedestrian in the last few weeks, I dont see him as the top candidate as of now, there were plenty of the games in that span he should have dominated , instead he disappeared, he continues to be passive with the scoring , taking the back seat, he cost his team 5,6 games in my opinion .

He hasn’t missed a game in over a month, and if he doesn’t miss another game this year he will have played 71 games. Funny because the last Sixers MVP Iverson also played just 71 games in his mvp season.

Theres a good case the top 4 should be Jokic, Giannis, Embiid and Rudy. After how horrible the big man talent was in the past its the best its been since the 00s now

Jokic last 10 games 23.8 pts 15.0 rebs 7.1 ast on 54.5/33.3/83.3 shooting. That's with his top 3 players missing.

Tell me how is that remotely pedestrian?

Compared to other top MVP candidates they have been scoring way more than 23ppg in there last 10, Embiid, Giannis have been dropping over 32ppg over their last 15 games or so. If Jokic was scoring more he would be in the conversation, but right now it’s between Giannis and Embiid.

I guess scoring only matters. lmao Plus what I wrote was in response to the poster saying him being pedestrian which he clearly is not

Looking at the sixers next 4-5 games I wouldn’t be surprise if they move up to 3 or even 2 in the east. But they still got tons of injuries. Always 3 rotation guys or starters missing almost every game. So it’s really Embiid carrying the team. They are 22-9 with embiid. I really wonder who good the sixers are if the ever had a healthy lineup playing more than 2-3 games together. And this is not even including Simmons as the missing player.

Too early to say who will be mvp

Media will give it to curry if warriors stay in top 2 slot in the west.

Curry
Giannis (for now)
KD (who will likely miss games)
Embiid
Morant
Gobert

Jokic will get votes but nuggets Need to move into the top 4 slot. Call it mvp fatigue.

Embiid is a non-factor. He has missed 11 games already and is due to miss approximately another 10-12 like he always does.
Lmao he missed only 2 games to actual injury. Let's not talk about your boy Giannis who has his annual knee scare. Fact of the matter is Embiid had been healthy this season, counting on him getting injured is a pretty bad reason to discount him. Obviously if he does he's out of the running but that hasn't happened yet.

What’s the maximum games Embiid has ever played? Like 65? His conditioning has always been questionable

Sixers have won far more during that time. They are 9-1 the last 10 games? What's the Nuggets record?

71 games if he misses 0 of 42, which has never happened in 6 seasons so why is it suddenly going to happen?

Well when it happens we can have the discussion instead of automatically assuming it will. Given that he's only missed 2 games to injury or rest, the current pace is better than any of his career.

Last year, you said 51 games, but it's from a shorter season, so he actually played a higher percentage of games possible.

Scoring only matters you said. You are referring to players who are scoring more than Jokic, with Embiid being one of them. Maybe come up with a more original statement than "rent free in your head". Sounds more like you're just super defensive when you see that your golden boy's team isn't very good, and they're getting waxed by the Jazz.

Again my original post was directed at Jokic the last couple of weeks. Also I never said scoring only matters  I was repeating the asinine remark Hussien posted. Again where did I bring up Embiid and sixers?? I mean come on guys. This is becoming stupid at this point
