Didn't realize Jrue only had a 16% USG rate this season, but it looks like this is a role he will age very well into. He's had playoff struggles his previous 3 seasons putting up TS% of 48%, 46% and 48% but this playoffs he's at 62% TS.

He's been taking wide open shots almost all playoffs. To his credit, he's made every opponent pay for not respecting his offense.

Dallas will get one game.

They will but it’s clear they’re not a serious threat with healthy KP. Without KP this series would have been a tossup imo

C's mauled everybody with or without KP. They are a serious threat with or without him.

But to be fair Dallas would not be a serious threat without Kyrie.

The two momentum crushing plays for Dallas were when they cut the lead to 8, Lively got a rebound and then travelled. Then fouled JB, he made 1/2 FTs to push the lead to 9. Then on the other end, Kyrie travelled, and Boston got the ball back and scored to put them up by 11.

That's when the Mavs were defeated.

A big reason the effects in the Star Wars prequels don't hold up too well.

That was amateurish quality at best…. Better to pretend it never happened.

The great directors of the 90s understood the limitations of CGI and how to combine animatronics and lighting together with computer generated imagery.

Look at how well the T-Rex scene from jurassic park holds up. The close ups are animatronics, and the CGI sequences are dark lid.

Same for T2. The effects hold up spectacularly well considering these movies are like 30 years old.

That’s a good point. Modern directors refuse to use animatronics and scale models probably because they think it’s too old school. How about figuring out how to blend both with current technology.

It's not just White and Holiday. It's Brown on Luka. Holiday hasn't been much on Luka. And Tatum can guard Luka too. Before the series I was arguing with Mavs and western conf fans that Celtics have the best players to guard those two. They were just crying "but nobody's gonna stop Luka". You don't need to hold Luka to 0 to beat Mavs.

I'm just talking from a team defense perspective, both of these guys are very good at pressuring and also doubling the ball handler. There's really nothing anyone can do to him one on one, Brown's staying in front but Luka's just drilling middies in his face.

Yeah Boston have the personnel to defend Luka and Kyrie like NO OTHER TEAM. It's bearing out. I thought Lively and Gafford will make Horford look old, but KP's return this healthy has negated that advantage. He's the biggest X factor out there.

Jrue and White is an all-defensive backcourt, but Dallas has been shredding some pretty impressive defensive backcourts. Dort/J-Dub/Shai in OKC, then Jaden/Ant/NAW in Minnesota. Even if you like Boston's backcourt best, it's not like this is the first time Dallas is seeing elite defensive guards in this playoff run.

Tatum ain't gonna struggle all series. The only dumb take is any take that thinks all our stars are gonna have a bad night on the same night.

It's unfortunate that even after getting dominated these Mavs fans won't accept what their eyes are telling them.

Anyone who has been paying attention knew the Celtics had a real defense and the Mavs didn't.

Kyrie's 6 for 18. That's a large part of this loss. Kidd has to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to free him up.
