I would give the OP props if he didn't start this thread 20 minutes after the game started.

we also just beat the Celtics on the road. Let's not give up on ourselves yet. We are missing Barnes badly, I think he should start when he gets back.

Poetry time:

The best thread, I have ever read.

Seriously... from the OP, to the doubters, to the denial, the coping, the awe... this had everything. The Lakers will be fine, but I really think the Cavs needed a moment like this after the basketball hell they've gone through for the past 9 months.

hahaha I cant stop laughing at all the people praising the OP and not even mentioning that the Cavs beat the Lakers... but what you didnt see is the Clevelandness of the game. Your probably asking "FlightNumberLeBronCanKissMy___, what is Clevelandness????""

well friends Clevelandness happens when you cant do anything good without something bad immediatly following to put us back in our place. Its the jew gods way of letting us know that we still suck and not to ever,EVER get too excited about something because the aftermath will be tragic.. Would you like examples?

The Cavs for the first time in franchise history, using all of its accumulated luck from 40 years to draft Lebron and go on to multiple 60 win seasons and deep playoff runs. Only to be struck back down to earth last year. How dare we be good, I forgot.

The Browns coming back into the league was one of the happiest days of my life in 1999....until our first pick turned out to be the biggest bust in NFL history, then we endured multiple 4-12 seasons as a result.

OSU went to the National Championship Football game against FLA....great right? Well our best weapon Teddy Ginn took the opening kickoff to the house and broke his foot while celebrating with his teammates in the endzone. The Gators went on to win the game because we couldnt score another point.

Those are some big examples, here are a few recent ones.

The Cavs started off the first 15 games pretty good considering losing 7 guys all in the rotation. Winning games would actually happen 2 or 3 times a week for a few weeks. Then Varajao gets a season ending injury and Mo Williams was out for weeks. We went on to set a NBA losing record.

The Cavs finally snap the NBA losing streak record to the LA Clippers....just to get hammered the day after by the only other team almost as bad as us.

The Cavs beat the Lakers.....the worst team beating the 4th best team in the NBA. Only to have its best player (AJ) get injured on a last play of the game.

Now on top of losing 7 rotational players in the offseason. We have our top 3 (AJ,Varajao, Mo) are all hurt. Our best player is now Our Big 3 is now JJ Hickson, Ramon Sessions and Anthony Parker. GOD DAMbnajbniBHdbvfhrvb ev k u9r4845 ITTTTTTTT

I'm gonna guess the Lakers forums are going to be overloaded with crybabies saying Kobe shoulda got 20 FTs tonight and if the refs called things fairly Lakers would never lose.

Just to put things in perspective a bit;

Last year the Celtics went to the Finals after going .500 over the 2nd half of the season, and finished the season only 50-32.

Last year the Lakers won the Championship after finishing the season 4-7 over the last 11 games.

The Lakers have looked bad (relatively) this season and have been inconsistent. But they are virtually the same team that has won it 2 years in a row, and can arguably be better considering Bynum has not been injured (yet).. The Lakers are a veteran team that knows how to win in the playoffs. So while they have looked troublesome and do have problems, it is over-dramatic and blowing things out of proportion to say their season is over and they have no chance at winning it all.

They wil have to win 3 series without HCA at this point.

When was the last team to do that?

Maybe hakeems' rockets?
