The Clippers absolutely have to do Dwight for Griffin. No-Brainer. It does seem though, that they'd need to move Deandre in the deal also, both for salary, and because he'd be a bad fit with Dwight.

F*** Dwight Howard now. Seriously.

This guy used to be my favorite players off the court in the league but he's showing himself to be just as big a baby and attention seeker as the rest of the "Superstars". Granted, not as bad as LeBron's and CP3, but damn near close.

How is Chris Paul worse than Dwight Howard? Paul wanted off a team that didn't even have an owner much less an ownership that wanted to win. Orlando and Cleveland spent everything to make Howard and LeBron happy, granted they were both inept in doing so, but New Orleans won't spend at all.

For real? Taking away the decision, Lebron's situation was nowhere being a big baby, he played his contract out and went to another team. CP did practically as well as possible changing teams. He was on a team with a bad owner followed by no owner, it's not like there was anyone on the roster, and those that were on the roster were all there within a year and none signed to play with him, so he didn't really have anyone to be loyal to. He told his team he wouldn't resign, kept as low a profile as he could and it resulted in just less than a month of pandemonium, during which time he led Hornets workouts during the lockout and played in their training camp. If anything Howard's is the worst of the three he's been teasing for so long and at the same time saying he wants to be on the magic, but mostly it's the media jumping on anything.

-deandre (10.1M)
-mo williams (8.5M with PO next season)
-foye (4.25M expiring)
-bledsoe (1.6M)
-2 firsts

that's the best offer the magic will get from the clippers for dwight/hedo (28.4M combined, clips can take up to 150% back in a deal since they are non-tax)

with that said i would still rather have bynum straight up, if he does get dealt after the ASB it will be to the lakers..

Coming from a Lakers fan, I think Blake has more value than Bynum for Orlando.. He is going to sell tickets & keep the $ coming in which is what they want with the new arena.. But I don't think they'll win more games building around him than Bynum..

The only way I see it working is if Anderson & Deandre are also included.. I wonder what they could turn Jordan + Mo into in a 3 team deal?

Maybe Blake, Jordan, Anderson, Mo to LAL & Orlando gets Bynum + Pau after all

Butler to New Jersey for Okur and pick (protected)
Bledsoe, Udoh, Okur, Kwame, NJ pick to Orlando for Howard, Hedo

That's not the best offer..that's pretty much garbage. Clips 1st round picks aren't going to be worth anything if Howard, Paul and Griffin are all playing.

The clips would be stupid to not offer Griffin for Howard. A trade that would work for both teams.

To add on to this..

Orl get

gasol
jordan
butler
foye
take your pick of walton metta ebanks barnes blake caracter

LAL get

griffen
mo
hedo

Clips get

dwight
jj
take your pick of walton metta ebanks barnes blake caracter

Add picks where they need to go..

Would have to happen at deadline because of jordan/caron signing as fa's..

Call me crazy but all 3 teams come out of this deal better (considering Dwight was gone no matter what)

Whilst its not exactly a lateral move, a Griffin for Dwight trade would not be such a godsend for the Clippers. Griffin is like our messiah - out fo the darkness into the light kind of thing. Plus, griffin is way more than any other team can offer. Its just not worth it - even though we would probably win more games in the long run.

We need to deal with the situation at hand. Dwight is leaving and only a handful of teams are in the running to get him. No way Orlando gets fair value under these pre-conditions.

Dwight wants to play with Paul and Griffin. If thats what he really wants, then that is what will eventually happen. We can easily trade Jordan and Gomes for capspace and thereby afford Dwight on the open market. Orlando will cooperate or they risk falling into the Toronto / Cleveland trap. Right now the Clippers have all the leverage. They are making basketball fun to watch again. Dwight wants to be a part of that and who can really blame him?

Blake Griffin and Deandre Jordan for Dwight and Ryan Anderson? maybe?

Hell no maybe?

Not that the Clippers would do this anyways, but have fun losing Dwight for nothing then.

LA has less assets than New Jersey. It's either Blake or nothing.

If the Clippers don't trade Griffin, they're not getting Dwight. Period.

DeAndre, Caron, Bledsoe, Mo, and two 1sts... offer everything EXCEPT CP3 & Blake and the Clipps have the brightest future in the league.
