he only wants to be traded to the nets/lakers/mavs. they aren't getting a better offer than bynum+dwill
nets and mavs have nothing near that

da phuck are u getting this info from dwight has never said he wants to go to the lakers

The Magic allowed Dwights agent to talk to the 3 teams Dwight would like to go to, Nets/Lakers/Mavs

Otis would be a boss if he got Bynum/Derrick Williams/picks for a guy thats leaving anyways. And stay with me on this but Orlando could then offer Derrick Williams/filler for Deron Williams and see if nj bite since he'd be off to Dallas fersure

So we get a starting Point Guard who can drill the 3, bring speed to a slow team and a scorer in Beasley who can create his own shot. And that's not enough? **** sign me up for this.

I don't understand why some fellow Laker fans here would not like this trade, It's not just Pau+Drew for Dwight,

Beasley & Barrea in return would be amazing as well, Beasley is a young talent that I believe can be directed to become even better with a winning attitude team such as the Lakers

So your reason for saying pothead would be "amazing" is because somehow he would improve playing for winning team = wishful thinking...

wouldwe would also get much needed PG help by the guy who pretty much killed us with his penetration in the playoffs,

Barea is a midget PG that can't defend anyone but could get away with playing because dallas' zone. Barea is not a starting PG. and btw, almost EVERY PG in the LEAGUE can "kill" us so that really means nothing. Blake got a triple double against us.

GoldenKnight wrote:also would be receiving the best center in the NBA,

That's basically it. We are trading Gasol(top5 PF) + Bynum(top2 C) for the best center in the NBA.

I was up to this before the season and before we traded odom for nothing because I believe Odom would be the perfect PF to play with Bynum

Blake - Kobe - Barnes - Odom - D12 could do some damage....

But rasheed? lol!

Odom was a pothead too so what? He got his his together once he came to L.A...
A winning team makes a winning attitude. But I guess you would rather have Metta score 5ppg.

If you say Fisher>Barrea you are out of your mind, there is no reason why Fisher should still be our starter.

If we traded Pau we would need a PF & you're going to tell me you would rather have Murphy than Sheed?

what's wrong with you? The options aren't:

- "Would you take barea over fisher and Rasheed Over Murphy"?

When did I say fisher is better than the midget or that murphy is better than rasheed (at this point we don't know)?

My point is that A top5 PF + a Top2 C for D12 + two BENCH PLAYERS isn't good. That's my point.

Barea and beasley are fighting for Minutes on a .500 team. We could get them or players similar to them or much better (but on a "bad" contract) than them with our First Rounds picks + TPE.

That's my point.

I don't understand how some people don't get this.

People who say no because Pekovic is developing please stop, Pau is a 2 NBA time champion still playing at a high level, Lakers just need the youth, something Minny already has.

Are people serious about this not being good for Minnesota? Beasley has no future there and Williams potential isnt better than Gasol, realistically speaking. To be better(not equal to, better) than Gasol he would have to reach level akin to a peak Garnett type player. You KNOW when you have a player like that. Gasol is 31 and probably has 3-4 years left at the level he's at with his skill and size. With him Minnesota could be a contender as soon as next year. Not to mention the Rubio/Gasol connection terms of keeping Rubio in the future and the excitement it would bring to that franchise.

+ 2 bench players? Newsflash...We already have on of the worst PG/SF rotations in the league!
Those two "bench players" can only improve our team by making our older players come off the bench + you are also getting the best C in the league which also has youth + Kobe, I don't see how this can be bad.

What might you suggest we use the TPE on? Scola? Please...why in the world would the Rockets do that, they have the same record as us at this point.

minny probably gets better (in the short term, anyway), but not dramatically. orlando gets pretty reasonable return

Redundant? What PG do the Lakers have that makes him redundant?

Let's just put it this way. Pau/Bynum >>> Beasley/ Dwight. We can get a PG way better than Barea using our TPE. And what happens when Dwight leaves this summer? We'll be left with Kobe and bunch of role players. This is an easy NO for the Lakers.
