The shortened nicknames like Melo, D-Rose, CP3, Ron Ron etc are the worst.

Melo isn't bad. That is like calling somebody Mike who is named Michael. It is just a natural shortening of the name. D-Rose and CP3 are forced and unimaginative, but not natural either.

The Slim Reaper is a really slick nickname for KD, but he didn't like it b/c he said he's too much of a happy/joyful dude to be called that.

For me, that was actually the first sign that the dude is just a bit weird, lol.

Chocolate Thunder is the first name I thought of for this thread.

Dr. J. is good too.

My boys have S tier nicknames The Process, Answer, The Boston Strangler, The Round Mound of Rebound etc. The Villain was a dope nickname even though Evan Turner sucked.

Slim Reaper, The Admiral, Diggler, and Bad Porn are goated.

The Servant is trash level and I hate all the initial + number nicknames besides AK47.

Incredible to me that Durant wasn’t a fan of Slim Reaper. It’s such a badass nickname and fits his frame/play style perfectly.
