I didn't even take into account him jumping? Why did he have to jump is a very good question indeed? League should review it.

If the roles were reversed Stephenson would have been called for a flagrant.

Just sayin~

He will be... after reviewing the play, the league will rule flagrant 2 for Stephenson due to blatantly headbutting DWade's elbow in a dirty and dangerous play that could have caused an injury in Said elbow...

Also, League will fine him for floping and simulating a head injury.

Just kidding... somewhat...

Yeah...

Are you joking dude?

Obviously intentional, no one jumps like that. Just a fine though not suspension worthy. D-wade is dirty.

I thought Wade got away with a ridiculous amount during the 2006 finals and he does appear somewhat dirty at times but from the replays I see here I think he has plausible deniability that he was just trying his absolute best to get back in the play to cut off penetration. His move seemed just as much about getting back in the play on defense ASAP then the elbow.

Elbow to the head. That's a definite suspension.

if it wasn't an intentional act, I'm not quite sure what he is trying to accomplish with that play. given the league's track record, however, i doubt he gets suspended

This reminds me of when Kobe was suspended for his unnatural shooting motion when he hit Ginobili in the face. How is this any different? Is randomly jumping towards an opponent and extending your forearm towards the head a natural basketball play? Wade should be suspended 1 game regardless of intent.

I don't care if that was intentional or not, that was a horrible play by Wade.

The way I look at it, if Stevenson did that to Wade, he'd gotten a flagrant foul and possible suspension. So it's only fair if they treats Wade the same.

Thats was clearly intentional. Think about who threw the elbow. He had no need to jump or even lift his arm if you think about

Looked at wades wikipedia for basic info. Didnt realize hes almost 32. 2 years from kobes age. Makes me lol of the better than kobe arguments so prevalent when he won his first ring and the immediate years after. In hindsight, he is sooverrated and a poor sport dirty player.

I don't know if he should get suspended (probably not), but after watching the first two games I won't take anyone who whines about the Pacers being dirty very seriously. The Heat have had plenty of their cheap shots in this game, at least in the current wussified version of the NBA that is today.

What cracked me up more than this was Wade getting "knocked down" by Hansbrough and then taking offense to it, like he really got touched. The techs in the 2nd quarter against the Pacers were garbage too.

Also hearing Kerr and Miller actually say "Hansborough took him down" and then say that the Wade/Stephenson elbow was inadvertent made me roll my eyes, though I'm guessing they'll just excuse anything.

I didn't realize Wade was into muay thai. He should work on his form tbh.

Of course not. Why are you even debating this? Talk about grasping for straws.

He should be suspended for that. What on earth are Reggie and Steve Kerr talking about when they say it was unintentional and not malicious?

Cheap shot.

Lance was a recipient of the elbow in last year's series:

Seriously, why did it happen again? What has the poor guy done to the Heat? He has taken two flying elbows in the head / neck area in two consecutive years. He's either unlucky as hell or heavily disliked.

In any case, I have to give prop to Lance for getting up and continuing to play. He didn't try to fake injury even though the play could have caused injury to him. Lance, you have my respect for that.

Regarding Wade now. He probably deserves to be suspended but I don't think that it will happen. I'll be happy if he receives a fine or if it's upgraded into a flagrant foul (seriously, can you upgrade a play that wasn't called a foul to a flagrant afte the game?). I mean, recognize that the play happened at least. It wasn't in the highlights of the game and that saddened me a bit.
