more like Dwight delivers a vicious uppercut that knocks down his opponent, boxer gets up at the 8 count with shaky legs but Dwight can't finish and opponent is saved by the bell, then in the next round Dwight gets knocked out by a flash straight right cross that he didn't see coming...

Dwight's insult basically was YOU'RE UGLY
Her insult basically was YOU'RE A HORRIBLE PERSON

This is just absurdly childish. Until like a month ago everyone was calling Dwight an immature baby, and now he's being celebrated for a Twitter taunt that would have been considered lame and immature in high school. The ****?

It's off-season so people pretty much celebrate anything basketball related going on.

barelyawake wrote:The fact that so many here don't understand that purposefully not being a father to your children is a bad thing is damned amazing. It's depressing. The way some of you talk, it's not even a consideration. No one cares about the sex. Wear a condom. Don't litter the planet with fatherless children. It is one's responsibility to raise children you father. How the hell do you not know that? Actually, forget it. I'm leaving this topic like Dwight left his five children.

lol, it isn't a consideration. Being a biological father doesn't necessitate a connection or responsibility, if, for example, the girl wanted the baby on her own, the girl failed on birth control while Dwight's condom was one of the faulty ones. You really have no information about what you are preaching about, and don't expect others to care so much about Dwight's personal business or make assumptions about his personal life just to support a lazy tirade.

It is usually better for society and all family members for families to be formed from thoughtful planning and willing parents.

No, its more like Jay Z vs. Nas. Nas ETHER'd Jay Z, and Jay came with H.O.V.A. Nas didn't respond, because it was already over. Y'all think Dwight cares if his BM's don't have a ring? He insulted the girl, she in essence insulted the babymommas. It may have came last, but it wasn't the "finisher". He had already ether'd her.

H.O.V.A. wasn't the diss track aimed at Nas, it was The Takeover. Crack open the Blueprint.

O the irony of your statement since, "The Blueprint" is actually the name of the track I'm talking about on Blueprint 2 album. I just always called it H.O.V.A. because of the hook. Takeover came first then Nas Ether'd him. Jay-Z tried to get him one last time on The Blueprint song but it was already over. So I was right about the diss track, just not the name.

Anyway, for all you posters preaching about Dwight being a rolling stone, who the hell is celebrating him knocking up many women? Quite frankly, I had no idea how many baby mommas it was and wasn't concerned about it as this thread is about the joke. You guys are too serious. I can see you overhearing some guys going back and forth on some "yo mama so fat" jokes and starting to preach about the seriousness of obesity and diabetes in this country. Go work for the secret service or the hospital with your elevated levels of seriousness. I can't believe people who didn't think this was a funny exchange read through 6,7,8 pages of comments then decided to beotch about it. After the OP, if it wasn't funny, maybe you should have abandoned ship. The high and mighty aura of some in here is too over the top.

To those wondering how on Earth this could be seen as an insult to Dwight "who was able to get it and quit it, that's a win right?"

Dwight came into the league talking about putting a cross on the NBA logo. He represents himself one way, but in reality act according to an entirely different standard.

That's how it's an insult to Dwight.

If you're stupid and famous, stay away from social media. Maybe they didn't teach that chapter yet in the NBA rookie program back when Dwight came up.

Didn't he come into the league at age 17, 18? Seems a bit silly to imagine that he wouldn't have changed at all from his teen years.

Why does a supposed great player like Dwight spend this much time on twitter? Leave it for JR Smith and Brandon Jennings

I'm not on Twitter myself, but wouldn't it take literally 45 seconds to type that response? All WHAT time?

I don't know how people can even consider that a win. Its a win for the baby mamas. He has to pay for child support but yes it makes him a hypocrite and an even bigger clown.

How does that get Dwight? It's not like Dwight wants to marry his baby mommas and they're the ones saying no. How is saying "you have a lot of sex without getting married" an insult to a man?

Also, it's 2013, not Game of Thrones. No one cares whether a person is a "bastard" or not these days. Liv Tyler is a bastard child. So are Oprah, Jack Nicholson, Eric Clapton, Shaq, and Lebron. No one cares.

Anyways, Dwight got himself with his response. Saying "you won't get a ring either" means that neither Dwight or the girl will get a ring.

Well in the warped view that celebrities can do no wrong maybe but in the real world a guy who goes around getting multiple women pregnant without committing to relationships is usually seen as a bum or a dead-beat.

Deadbeat = not paying child support.
Paying support but not actively involved in the kid's life = absentee.

Deadbeat is considered much worse than Absentee. There are valid reasons for being an absentee parent:
- custodial parent sues for sole/exclusive custody.
- custodial parent demands un-meetable conditions for visitation or joint custody.
- custodial parent alleges child abuse/endangerment by the non-custodial parent.
- custodial parent gets child to testify they don't want a relationship with the non-custodial parent.

The sad fact is that children of often used as weapons by one parent against the other.

I think its weird that people arent recognizing that in this twitter exchange the reference made to Dwight's failure to be a father to however many kids he has is checkmate. I'd think even if he won every single championship from now until he retires, it wont make up for how badly he screwed up this part of his life.

The only way he could win this is retire from the NBA and dedicate all his time to being the best father he can be to all the kids hes made.
