Re: Bill Simmons Is Changing The NBA
So wait what's wrong with taking out ten games. Then have a mini tournament of one game knockouts.
With no effect on draft picks and the two winners get the 8th seeds.
So the Suns v Bucks
And the Knicks v 76ers
Opens up opportunities for stars to shine, imagine Anthony Davis going on a hot streak or Demarcus Cousins getting fired up for two, three games then has to take on a healed up Kobe.

Nicky Nix Nook wrote:I love Simmons. He represents the ultimate fan's dream. And he's an entertaining writer/personality.
but he is largely terrible on tv, which ironically is where he is spending most of his time now.
for example, loved his recent melo article. hated his draft coverage and the fact that he hosts countdown. i get that you want to use him as he is very popular, use him as a frank caliendo type. cut in to him sporadically for quippy comments etc. it would have been really funny to cut in to him during his celtic and heat reactions, but as a host he just isn't that good.
also, between the articles and pods (which are good) he rehashes about 80% of that on the air (which is bad).
