Sure it'd be great to finally have a PG.

Still begs the question why didn't Houston keep Dragic when they had him?

Because Dragic wanted a player option which limited flexibility for Morey who was still trying to get a star. Also, Les wanted Lin for that Asian market with the absence of Yao.

I guess this means Dragic will be a Clipper.

Analytics told Morey, Dragic is no good at 4yr/30M.

My guess is you weren't following the Rockets back then. Dragic was a half-season sensation that was FAR from a sure thing and he wanted a player option included into the deal, which Daryl didn't like because Houston didn't have a surefire superstar and thus need flexibility especially when Houston all but decided to rebuild before the Harden deal. I still would have resigned Dragic personally but I can understand Morey's mindset.

Fixed it for you.

also traded Lowry as well.

Morey's never liked player options, but you can easily see the other side. He had those two both and let one go because of a player option (btw, their big 2014 free agent catch was Ariza) and Lowry and Mchale who doesn't seem to do anything than let the team shoot 3s. Dmo needs more post ups.

Dragic blew up in Phoenix but ultimately Morey's plan was solid. He didn't want to commit big money until it was for star players, he ended up with 2 of them.

Suns fans didn't believe the initial report saying Dragic was basically untouchable.

It makes more sense moving him now before he gets a ridicilous amount of money and the Suns ending up with nothing.

It would be absolutely hilarious if the Lakers traded for him and he won enough games for them that it knocked them out of the top 5 and then Phoenix gets the 6th pick in the draft.
The feedback I've received from our fans is they understand we are trying to build something great. Good decisions come from having a broad set of options and making tough calls. We will do it unblinkingly. We have to be willing to take smart risks-Hinkie

What? Isaiah can ball. He is a fantastic player and can't be stopped in transition. Would be happy to have him as a player

Good luck with that. You'd lose Lowry within a year.

IT is both selfish and ball dominant. Throw in a rampant ego and napoleon complex and he tears up your own team as much as the opposition.

And imagine if he signs back with phoenix when he becomes a free agent.

I agree but that's always been his game. He's a spark plug off the bench and thrives when the ball is in his hands. I wouldn't mind having him on our team.

I don't know about him being a cancer for a team in terms of him tearing up your team  You lost me on that one. Suns knew what they were getting before they signed him.

So tired of this "Morey is such a genius meep meep meep meep" garbage. The ship he has commanded has won one ("1") playoff series in, what, 7 or 8 years? Come on. Hey, he's made a few good moves, but he has plenty of god-awful moves to match. It's not that he's a bad GM, but the myth that surrounds is totally laughable and utterly unheralded. Masaii seems to foster the same daft sycophancy. Both seem to love the spotlight, that's for sure. Meanwhile, Buford and Riley can polish their rings and dust off those banners.
That's hilarious and co
