Pistons just paid Draymond Green money for the chucker OKC tried to replace with Waiters. Warriors dodged a bullet not hiring SVG as coach/GM.

So many refuse to understand how this works. It's like the amount of zeroes causes a cognitive dissonance that they can't resolve. "All Stars should make 15 mil plus not Reggie f'n Jackson..."
Oh yeah? Maybe All-Stars should be making $25 mil. Why is your cutoff for Reggie something below $15 mil? Why does Tom Brady make $8 mil next season? Why does Sidney Crosby make $12 mil? Why does Miguel Cabrera make $22 mil?
There is no objective dollar value for a player in any sport. Everyone is worth what the market will bear.

So if Reggie Jackson has a great year, I'm allowed to bump this thread right? And NO ONE will delete their posts?

You're saying there may be a bunch of Chad Fords in here?

Pistons are the most disrespected NBA franchise in history. SVG nearly had us in the playoffs with a worse roster last year so why couldn't he get us in this year with an upgraded roster? Reggie Jackson was averaging all star numbers once he started to learn our system. Pistons are going to be a good team. Deal with it haters.

Reggie would be fine and can continue to do his thang as long as SVG doesnt put a pure postup pf like Monroe (already with the Bucks) or put twin towers that clog the paint.

He put up great numbers when he was let loose after the trade to Detroit. And really, if Jamaal Magloire and a rookie Tyrone Hill can make the All-Star team then Jackson most certainly can.

Props to Turbo_Zone for the sig.

That was a terrible era for bigs and their stats. This is the point guard era. Apples to oranges.

Is it really so hard to think that Jackson could get in on the East team?
Irving
Lowry
Deron
Rose
Teague
Wall
Irving, Lowry, Deron and Rose are all very injury prone. If he can lead Detroit to contention then, yes, I maintain he has a very real chance of making the All-Star team.

Props to Turbo_Zone for the sig.

It's not much sense arguing with people who've already made up their minds, but how anyone can look at Kyle Lowry's age 24 season, Jeff Teague's age 24 season, heck even the last good Pistons PG Chauncey Billups' age 24 season compared to Reggie Jackson's Pistons numbers and determine Jackson will never be an all-star is beyond me.

Re: Reggie Jackson signs a 5 yr/ 80 million deal with the Pistons
It's not the most important consideration for the the position, but how many PGs are more physically talented than Reggie? As in explosiveness, strength, power...all around athleticism?
-Westbrook
-Wall
-Bledsoe
-a 100% healthy Rose(is that possible anymore?)
-maybe Lillard
I'll take Jackson's physical profile over everyone except Westbrook and Wall. Lillard is probably more explosive and quicker but Jackson is a lot more powerful. He's a freight train going to the bucket, exceeded only by Wall and Westbrook.

Whatever Joe Dumars, you're just trying to justify the Ben Gordon and Villanueva contracts.

LOL. I can't do that. I didn't mind the BG signing tho. I hated the Smooth and CV deal. I didn't mind the Jennings trade, but didn't know Middleton would become a freak.
