And the rocket fans defense of this drunken, stupid outburst is deplorable  Between Mudiay and Lawson, EM will lead us to places that Lawson never could....we're OK  Can't wait for his Lawson's NEXT implosion, hope it comes at a very crucial time this next season.

I can't LMAO enough at this bold text. Regardless of your denver logo or not, LMAO x 1000.

Sometimes I feel silly wasting time fending off stupid posts/posters like this, but I also kinda have to. Hitting back at the butthurt, the hatred, is already part of our rockets fans normal life. Aint gonna put up with that.

nice try but hes right. lawson never could lead us anywhere. and hes a drunk. all facts. he might be a good fit for houston but he wasnt in denver and if EM can live up to half his hype, then skywalker is 100% right.

no nugget fan is butthurt about losing lawson. so glad hes gone and we can move on without him. but considering you didnt have a real reply, Im not surprised all you could do is type lmao.

yes - lawson brought all this on himself. he ruined the relationship. he turned his back on our franchise, the city and the fans - eventhough the nuggets supported him through all his mistakes and traded him to a contender. we were far too nice to him. and instead of thanking the team and fans for the good years (you know, like almost all players who get traded do), ty bashes us? hell, he could have said nothing and it would have been a better option. he brought ALL the hate on himself. if houston fans dont get this, its your problem. not ours.

People change, even from 3 DUI, whether likely or unlikely, he deserves a new start in his SECOND club. I wish him nothing but the best, and that's coming from a basketball fan not rockets support. I invite you to do the same, mod.[/quote]

how many chances does he get? why should nugget fans forget all the **** things hes done? it wasnt one incident. it wasnt one year.

So these comment from other ROCKETS posters should fly under the radar because the aren't filled with any animosity ?? Why wouldn't you say anything about those if "hate" is why you're so aggressive towards my comments ??? Pot meet kettle.

And those are really wishes, more expectations......nobody says he's a bad player, just making stupid comments that seem alcohol induced, poor decisions IMO

Those Rocket fans responses are only replies to all the initial Denver poster hate in this thread.

I wouldn't post "the Denver butthurt is strong" if the first few pages of the thread didn't have multiple Denver fans being butthurt about Lawson.

but none of us are. or if there is one, i havent seen him yet.

Ken, perhaps this will open your eyes , it's an interview with your boy himself

http://milehighsports.com/former-denver-nugget-ty-lawson-speaks-about-his-rehab-stint/

I still honestly don’t think I would’ve had to go in there if it wasn’t court ordered,” Lawson told Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports. “I just made two dumb mistakes. But I did take things from the [rehabilitation facility].”

Everyone makes mistakes, and while Lawson doesn’t seem to be showing much remorse, he was able to learn what triggers are and what could push people to drink.

“There were people who were pushed into [the rehab facility] by family, and then me, who was court ordered,” Lawson continued. “Just to see that it can get that bad, that you can die. You may not see that as a person until you’re already there.”

In some ways, I can’t help but be reminded of Morgan Freeman’s character Ellis Boyd Redding from The Shawshank Redemption.

“Rehabilitated? Well, now let me see. You know, I don’t have any idea what that means.”

Is Lawson rehabilitated? We may never know. His personality does not seem to have been altered by this experience. Disregarding how this will translate to basketball, time will tell whether or not he has learned his lesson and has grown as a person. For his sake, I hope he has.

ouch. he needs to hire someone who can immediately (a) drive him everywhere, (b) get him off social media and (c) just remind him to never speak to the media again.

I dont think Lawson will have big inpact in Houston:

1. Lawson must have ball in hands to be efective (Harden is ball hog).
2. He will be on second unit, b/c he is second best ball handler on the team.
3. His def is below avarage. I can imagine team def with Harden and Lawson on the floor.
4. Problems with alcohol.

You can only beat the team you encounter, stop this madness. I don't care if he's chillin or whatever, he has a ring, period.

Rockets fans are extremely classless to a team that smashed them 8 out of 9 times by an average margin of 15 points. You talked so much trash after your game 2 loss in the WCF, and then never showed up on RealGM after your game three 35 point loss (2nd largest home defeat in conference finals history). First of all you take every chance you can get to belittle Steph Curry and his MVP season even though he averaged 28.3 PPG, 6.4 APG, and 5.0 RPG on historical efficiency in the playoffs. Not to mention his 16-5 playoff record compared to Harden's 9-8. Rocket fans also take every chance they can to make fun of Dray's physical appearance, and not the fact that he dominated Dwight throughout the series. The Warriors had 83 wins which is the third most of any team in NBA history. We beat you 8 out of 9 times by an average margin of victory of 15 points. We handed you the 2nd worst home conference finals loss in NBA history by 35 points. Your so-called superstar choked when he had 13 turnovers in game 5 (the most in NBA playoffs history). He gave us more points on turnovers than he scored for you. He was outplayed by Harrison Barnes in that game. It might have been the largest choke job by a superstar in NBA playoffs history. You say the Pels were injured but Jrue played every game except for 1. David Lee was injured for the whole Pels series. You say the Grizz were injured but Conley played in every game except for 1. Mo Speights missed the last 3 games of the Grizz series. How about top 10 player CP3 missing the first 2 games of the Clippers series? How about Chandler and Rondo in the Dallas series? Also we were missing Mo Speights for the whole Rockets series; who has a higher PER than Bev and Dmo. Also we destroyed Bev and Dmo in the regular season. Steph man handled Bev in the regular season. Dmo's 90s offense, and horrible defense was exposed by the Warriors in the regular season. Also it was extremely classless how your players started to take physical shots at us during game 5 when you knew you had lost. It is also funny how you all started talking salty trash after the first 3 games of the finals, and then were silent during the last 3 games. I hope you enjoyed our Larry O'brien trophy presentation, and parade after game 6. Ty Lawson is a drunk. He is a man who has put the life of countless individuals in danger multiple times in the last 8 months. Ty Lawson is a racist. He clearly said that “I don’t want those light skin N-words to win a title so I am going for Lebron” in a VICE sports feature. Please tune in to TNT on October 27th at 9:30 PM central time to watch our ring and banner ceremony. On that night I want you to look at the rings on Steph, Klay, and Dray's hands, and realize that Harden, Ty, and Dwight will never wear one. The Bay's team is the best team while Houston is Choke City.

actually people do care about it a lot... that's why he is not willing to bet his name on GSW winning...it shows hes unsure in his 'strong' opinion...
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

Please

I couldn't care less about and1s but I'm not wasting time doing bets with nobody's who aren't active posters and who will just disappear before the playoffs anyway

I would only do bets with regular posters. Guys like Ken I'm happy to do a fun bet with

Delly wasted every single bit of energy he had chasing steph around like crazy in the finals. He didnt need to try that hard defensively. Still good luck when you face him Ty.

Regular season is different than postseason. Many high-flying, finesse jumpshooting teams like the Warriors crumble once the postseason begins. The only problem with last year was that the Warriors did not have the opportunity to crumble because everyone else was severely injured. Warriors will not earn respect until they prove that last year wasn't just a fluke "right place, right time" situation for the team. Last year's Warriors will not be remembered among the greatest teams of all-time until they legitimize it with another championship this year.

The Warriors may have gotten through last year's healthy Rockets, but they would have been utterly exposed against a healthy CLE. Don't ask for respect, just be grateful that two of Cleveland's 3 best players were injured in the Finals and acknowledge that you were gifted that NBA Finals series due to luck.

I see nothing wrong with what Ty said, people are overreacting here. Steph was MVP for a reason and well deserved, hopefully Ty fixes his personal issues and can become the top 10 PG I know he can be otherwise this will all just be hot air.

Nothing was gifted. Warriors worked Damn hard to win the championship. Warriors don't need to prove crap this year as each year is different from the next.

The fact you call the Warriors purely a jump shooting team is simply not true

Warriors could score in many different ways it was why they had the best offense and best defense.

Warriors were the best team all year no matter who was hurt.

Would love and Kyrie of made a difference in the finals? For sure but we don't know how it would of played out.

For one the warriors mindset would of been completely different had the cavs been healthy. The warriors last focus in their first finals series and it showed.

Once they knew they had to focus and realise cavs wouldn't lay down they won the final 3 games by 13 points per game so after game 3 the series was never in doubt.

So could the series of been different? Certainly but just because guys were out doesn't mean the result would of been different..sports simply don't work like that.

Will warriors repeat? Maybe not..if they don't that won't mean last year was a fluke it simply means this year is a new year.

Look at Spurs..they were dominant in beating Miami...last year was a different matter

So? Then they didn't have to work that hard to defend either. He's not diminishing the ring. He's suggesting that to beat Curry you've got to tire him out on defence, too. What's wrong with that exactly?
