Yeah, Lebron's stat padding is disgusting. He really is a stat padder. That is why I am not really impressed with Lebron. he pad his stats in weak east conference.

bron was like 8-18 or something, and the Cavs NEEDED a three, multiple three's actually, and bran kept taking conceded layups running on a statpad treadmill. If he had the balls to take the shot, he might miss and go 8-19, maybe 8-20, less points, more blame. So he took the LeB!tch way out.

I remember last year , after the Warriors had won game 1 in overtime, he went 1vs0 in the last seconds to pad his stats
That's one of the reasons ( the other is the refs) why his stats should be taken with a grain of salt , when we talk about all time greats..

Exactly right. I hope to god someone in the locker room - coach or player called him out. Like "wtf, Lebron...why didn't you take a three?"

Here we go again. No Lebron should not nor will not win Finals MVP if the Cavs lose. Get the hell over it already jeez. If he loses than it's his own fault as leader of the squad for not bringing home the trophy yet again.

Call Curry whatever you want, "mentally weak", "not a competitive person", "only a 3 point shooter", as long as he is able to help his team win a championship... I'm pretty sure he doesn't care.

Exactly.

That's why their team wins. It sounds cliche but they don't seem to care who has the best (statistical) game or care about rivalries. They just want to win and they do it a lot so I think that works better than trying to humiliate Lebron at any cost.

You're both acting like winning and wanting to dominate the competition individually are mutually exlucsive. They aren't. The Warriors could win with Curry crushing everyone else and there's no reason he shouldn't want that. It also doesn't make sense to think Curry doing so would hurt the Warrior's overall play.

Nope, I never said that they were mutually exclusive. Could Curry try to dominate and the warriors be up 3 - 1? Yes. Could he try to dominate and the warriors be down 1 -3? Yes. Is Curry an important part of the team being up 3 - 1? Yes. Is Curry mentally weak for not wanting to dominate and be up 3 - 1? He doesn't care.

Lebron deserves the MVP..It's too bad Lebron the GM totally :censored: up the Cavs by trading off a great young talent like Wiggins for a soon to be free agent turd of a player like Love. Then Lebron the head coach did everything possible to kill any chance the Cavs had to compete with a legit NBA powerhouse... But that's definitely not the fault of Lebron the player..

Lebron has established a pattern of marginalizing his teammates in order to boost his own stats. He's done it his whole career and I've always called him out on it. If it doesn't work, he can just claim his teammates didn't do enough and he needs more help.

Glad other people are finally realizing it.

It doesn't mean anything when the Warriors win in 5. Everyone knows Lebron is a great player who fills up the stat sheet but his team is no match for Golden State. I don't think anyone on the Warriors cares about his stats in the Finals as long as they win.

Exactly, this creates an incredible double standard:

If his teams wins it's because of LeBron, if it loses it's because he doesn't have enough help. This keeps happening since the first day he came into the league....

Should I remind you that Irving and Love were NBA STARS before he joined them? Now people talk about these two like they are scrubs.... It's just sad to me...

MJ in 88-89 per 100 possessions
40.0 points / 9.9 rebounds / 9.9 assists

It was obvious to anyone who watched those Bulls teams that Jordan simply didn't trust his teammates. His stats were because everyone was standing around.

MJ in 90-91 per 100 possessions
42.1 points / 8.1 rebounds / 7.2 assists

The stats would say he decreased his play but he really just played more in the flow of the triangle offense instead of making the entire offense flow through him.

LBJ has a similar problem: he dominates the offense and the ball in a such a way that yes he gets his stats but he really doesn't do it in a way that makes Cleveland able to beat elite teams.

I'm betting this will be the second year in a row that the so-called league MVP isn't even the MVP of his own team in the finals, but let's not talk about that. Instead let's yap yap yap about Lebron being a stat padder.

I was actually surprised by this but the stats says he is. Amazing player no doubt but somehow it feels like he can do more and he hasn't.

LeBron's supposed greatness is a myth perpetuated by his overly high MPG, stat padding, ESPN, and social media band-wagoners who don't actually watch the games but rather rely on box score statistics. From refusing to take end-of-quarter hail mary's (most prominently in his Miami days) to protect his FG%, to dominating possessions to the point of making his teammates nothing more than jumpshooters and stagnating the offense, LeBron's never been the player people see him as.

As he gets older, he will never be able to win a championship as a supporting piece the way Duncan has in his twilight years. He's unable to play as part of an offensive system and structure. Instead, his ball dominance makes HIM the system. His lack of a consistent shooting touch and refusal to concede control to an intelligent coach like Blatt, will only further expose him as his ability to dominate games diminishes

LeBron is hogging the ball and hurting the Cavs' offense.

To an extent this is true - if he's not moving the ball he's hurting their effectiveness to his own raw stat benefit. Clearly a trend of his throughout his career, and the most frustrating part of watching him.

Credit where credit is due for stats like RPG and SPG though.
