Really? I think he's a substantially more potent passer than Miller ever was.

Not just passer , he's better and most versatile scorer, rebounder etc.

Jokic > Sabonis and its not even close

Do you not realize that SAbonis played most of his career in Europe, and only came to the league at the end of his total career....way after he was out of his prime?

Chill Alex!

I think Sabonis is ahead right now but Jokic hasn't played in his prime either. comparing a guy over 31 to a guy under 23 doesn't seem too unfair.

I don't mind the comparison at all. It's that Alex said "easily" and also "not even close".....in saying that Jokic is better. I love Jokic and his passing is awesome. Just don't need to go off the rails to state your point.

Let's also acknowledge that the game has changed with all of the three point shooting really opening up spacing.

So guys like Webber who worked out of the elbow, and Sabonis who operated out of the post, would have expanded their passing even more if they played today.

Boris Diaw should be on that list. It is even a shame he isnt.

Because he's listed at 6'6.5", 6'8" in shoes. Nothing against his passing.

It's an interesting debate. Joker has insane court vision, and can handle the ball really well for a dude his size. Sabonis and Divac stick out for me for their craftiness. Magic was big enough to play the 4/5 in today's game, does he count?

as of right now, Sabonis win this. but if Jokic doesn't break down from injuries before his prime ends, I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if he surpasses him.

I never watched Sabonis play but he never averaged more than 3 assists per game in his career. Not just NBA but also in Europe. So i don't get why people consider him the best passing big of all time. Jokic at 21 was getting more assists than he did his entire career.

Don't feel like reading this thread all the way but sabonis was the greatest passer ever. Several legends like pippen and Walton said so. He made David Robinson at the same age or sabonis was younger, look like a average NBA player. He was insanely athletic, ball handler, shooter. He basically had zero weaknesses other than health. If he had come over during his prime he would of stole some mvps

KG and Hawes should be on the list. Jokic is so lumbering and gangly so his passing is just so unexpected. Sabonnis was unreal though, we didn't get to see him earlynon in his career either.

He isn't even in my top 5 passing big men. Probably top 10 though. But as for that best passing player in the league the OP made? Take off the homer goggles, bro.

You said it, "I never watched Sabonnis play." Having high assist numbers doesn't automatically make you a great passer. Big men play a totally different game today.

Sabonis, Bird and Magic were brilliantly on another level. But, Jokic and some others are in the conversation and gaining, more so than any of the bigs before before them — including, may I add, LeBron.

Webber and Vlade were overrated imo.

Sabonis euro stats are different because they have stricter rules for assists shorter minutes
