Actually, I put Ayton ahead of Carter.

1. Knox
2. Sexton
3. SGA
4. Bagley
5. Ayton

My true dream was SGA+Knox but obviously Knicks scouted well and didnt allow that

I love how aggressive Kevin Knox has been. He's playing with no fear and a lot of energy.

I think Knox is a decent pick for ROY. It'll be a long shot over Doncic and Ayton. But the Knicks don't have real scoring options well besides Tim Chuckaway, considering KP is out past Christmas.

Everyone is a poor judge of these things. The chart I used says Synergy at the top. I showed you my evidence; let’s see yours.

Let's ignore Durant for right now, Lauri MADE 2x as many 3s (69) in college as Ayton ATTEMPTED (35). He attempted threes at nearly 5x rate. He shot 42.3% on 4.4 3pa. Ayton meanwhile shot 34.3% on 1 3pa. Please stop trying to make Ayton a jump shooter. Lauri was one of, if not the, top shooting bigman ever in the NCAA. Ayton can't hold his jockstrap

While comparing the two, I found it interesting that Lauri also had the higher FTr even with less usage.

When did I say shooter? I already asked when I said the thing I didn’t say.

I was replying to this from you:
He could just dunk 8 times a game and I’d be good with it, but 34% from 3, 44% from midrange and 73% inside? Neither Durant nor Markkanen were that efficient in college.

You pretty much implied that Ayton was more efficient than Durant/Markkanen at shooting. Now let's get into the basics of basketball. You said:

Didn’t even use the word shooting once. I said jumpers. Jumpers don’t have to be outside the 3 pt line.

Do you know what jumpers are short for? jump...SHOTS. You know how you get jumpshots up? you SHOOT. Ergo, when you are talking about his JUMPER, you are talking about his SHOOTING ability.

Those are two separate quotes about two different things.

Here are my points:
a) Ayton is more efficient, when you combine his ability around the basket with his jump shots. Not all of those inside shots are finishes. As you can see from the shot chart I posted earlier, he is also good for 50% in several midrange spots.

b) he’s not a consistent 3 pt shooter, though, and I never said he was. the good news is that 60% from 2 (combined) and 40% from 3 give you the same number of points.

Okay I went back and reread your posts. Obviously if you factor in Ayton around the rim, he was more efficient no denying that. It is weird that the comparison you would make is to Durant or Lauri when the more obvious comparisons are KAT/AD/Cousins. Your wording made it seem like you were putting an emphasis on the shooting that's why me and that other poster who replied to you were a little concerned

Ayton is just a force. Teams are collapsing around him when he gets the ball in the paint, which they won't be able to do in the regular season with Book and some other shooters out there. He's going to come in and be able to physically impose his will on people from day 1.

17.5/9.4 and ROTY, book it.

Right now, Ayton is the favorite. Followed by Doncic (if the hype is real) and then I put Block Panther and Knox after them.

Here is how I see it in this order:

Ayton
Doncic
Carter Jr.
Knox
Bagley
JJJ (limited touches due to Gasol and Co).

Doncic is running away with it and it won't be even close.

Basically only 2 solutions to this. Grow a tougher skin or just get off of social media. Im not saying the hate they get over social media is right, its just not going to change any time soon though.

Y'all gotta relax on this Doncic hype until we actually see him. I'd assume many people on here are like me where I watch a ton of college ball but I don't watch any euro ball. Don't just read things, watch a few clips and act like you know what he's going to look like in the NBA

By all accounts he's a really good player. From highlights and scouting reports I like what I see but I'm not informed enough to make a valid opinion.

Im 100% with you on this. This is why whenever I usually make a draft big board, I usually dont include Euro guys. Having only seen highlights on youtube and about 3-4 full games, I dont feel like that is nearly enough to make a great judgement on him. The amount of people on here talking about him being this surefire superstar is pretty eye opening to me.

I And-1 this without even looking at your post. The And-1 was for the Avatar, by far the best Avatar I have seen on here haha.

But yes I agree with your post as well (except for Knox). I had Knox around 9-10 pre draft so I thought he was a good pick for NY. Im just not sold he is going to be a stud right off the bat. I know he has put up big scoring numbers in SL, we have seen that before from wings who went on to struggle. I like his potential, just dont think he has the level of game just yet to do it against NBA level players consistently.
