The Nets are extremely international so it’s a moot point. It’s a media bias in there, there’s more money to be made complaining about the Knicks but the only thing the Knicks have over the Nets is years of establishment in NY and the ‘history’ of moments at MSG. The Nets during the Deron era still were Top 5 valued franchise, Top 5 revenue, and lead the city in merchandise sales.

The Nets with a KD or Kyrie become the hottest ticket in sports. Period. Everyone knows Brooklyn is still a major market and I’d know because it’s extremely hard to live out here now as it’s become a major tourist and transplant attraction.

The NBA Draft is a tradition now upheld in Brooklyn since 2012 after the last decade in MSG.

Things change over time.

Lol which city?
I live in Brooklyn. Lived here my whole life. Except for a few losers no body cared

Funny. I lived here my whole life (Bed Stuy, Flatbush, Canarsie, East NY) and somehow was there when the buzz was going throughout the playoffs during that time.

The newspapers were Pierce on the front page and the bars I visited were packed with Heat and Nets and casual fans going at it. Every game was sold out as it should be. There was a thought the Nets could push it to 6 or 7.

I also throughly enjoyed ESPN NY ripping Deron Williams for his 0 point performance. He crumbled due to the playoff coverage that season and his ‘NY spotlight’ finished him that year including Kobe mentioning he’d never have 0 points on 5 shots.

So, I’m glad you identified the fact those who did care were ‘losers’ it proves my point about media bias, pal. Contradicting points.

I don’t recall anyone caring about that 17 win Knick team led by Sweet Lou Adumson either. I do recall the constant paper bags over Knick fans heads throughout the year. Was that more memorable than the Nets playoff run? Or Game 7 vs Toronto?

Is Jason Kidd sitting in the HOF for his magical 54 win run with the New York Knicks?

Was in the Slope for some of those years and only remember cap wearing LIers dominating Barclays crowds. Knicks is NYC's team sorry, but I'd kill for Nets ownership & management.
