LeBron doesn’t have Kyrie to bail him out anymore. I could easily see Kawhi outplaying LeBron, especially since both Kawhi and Paul George are lock down defenders. Even Patrick Beverly loves to guard LeBron lol.

Unless LeBron’s opponents are getting injured and suspended I don’t see him winning another ring anytime soon, especially now that he’s in the West.

Edit:

I’m finna type this here instead of making an extra post that would count as derailing, but as much as I hate it, “finna” in the thread title sounds better than “fixing to.”

“Fixing to” has that extra syllable and the word “finna” just rolls off the tongue better.

I think this is good for the NBA...can’t remember the last time both LA teams were legitimate playoff teams at the same time.

AD averaged 34 pts/14 rebs/4 assts /3 blks against the Clippers last year and NO won 2 out of the 3 games. Maybe Harrell should have guarded him more often.

I do remember wondering why the **** Doc pulled Harrell out and didn't stagger so he could guard AD.

Kuzma is not good enough to be a "Big Three" unless the expression is dumbed down to just mean your third best player. Gotta go make some All Star games and matter to get that designation. If Boogie/Brow/Bron start however, he is going to be really well positioned to be one of the league's top 6th men, not least because he will surely be the fill in starter as all three of those guys have rotating "load management" rest days over the season. He could probably end up with 30-40 starts.

Look up what year each player has been in the league—Hint, Kuzma can improve greatly.

Bout time we had a true LA rivalry. I'm so glad Kawhi chose the Clippers over the Lakers. The next couple of years may be remembered as the L.A. Turf War. I hope these two teams meet in the playoffs.

I will say the only "playoff P" I've seen is Pascal Siakam, I think he's played bad enough in enough post seasons there should be concerns, but they got a nice squad. It's also hilarious to see the same people who excoriated the Lakers for sending a bundle of picks to give the Clips a pass when sending twice as many and some (Miami) that are more valuable than either LA teams

Difference is AD would’ve signed with the Lakers in 12 months anyway.

Clippers had to pull the trigger otherwise get nothing and have nothing worth saving cap for in next few years

The season can’t come soon enough. Clippers/Lakers is going to be a lot of fun all season but it’s entirely possible they both get knocked off in the playoffs before meeting each other. West is a lot more than the two LA teams

I just dont see Davis being the missing piece for Lebron. Davis couldn't even lead the Pelicans to the playoffs even when they had a good team. Will be interesting tho, but i don't see a deep playoff team as constructed in Lakerland. Defense wins ships and Davis is lacking on the defensive side with Kuzma alongside him. Now, the Clippers have two superstars with Harrel for a great defensive nucleus for a very good coach which may go farther in my opinion. Will be interesting to watch these two teams try to outdo each other!

I’ve always wondered, what the **** does finna even mean? I mean I’m not dumb, I get what it’s being forced on us, but wtf, finna? Finna. Doesn’t even make logical sense.
It’s a slang way of saying “going to” or “about to”. It’s mainly said in the hood. But on the internet, it’s said by people who try to sound cool online.

Not sure it's 'slang' so much as an older southern/black variant for 'getting ready to.' Growing up I heard lots of very proper older black women say they're fixing to do something or other, and they definitely weren't trying to sound current or street or anything. Think it's just an old deep South thing, most women had roots in Mississippi or Louisiana (I grew up in Chicago) so maybe that's where it's from.

In all fairness Clips got two superstars for the package, not one. They did give up the best young player in SGA though, who will be better than Ingram or Ball IMO

But but but the Clippers bigs! Remember in the Lakers game Zubac also gave AD some problems. Not saying AD won't win out here, but Clippers bigman rotation isn't the problem people are making it out to be. Zubac/Harrell/Green/Harkless is good enough. I'm more concerned about their lack of a true PG now. Lou Williams is best passer on the team now...
