Would be an epic boss move if he went back to N.O. though after they got all the Lakers assets

That being said it is highly unlikely he leaves the Lakers.

AD and his agent went through hell and high water to force an early exit to LeBron and the Lakers, this was no doubt their ultimate goal.

AD is not gonna leave LeBron, the Lakers, sunshine, warm weather and beaches.

He is just saying the correct things....until he re-ups with the Lakers next summer.
It was GB's worst nightmare when AD forced himself to the Lakers. He hasn't even played a single game yet and GB is already trying to get him off the team.

He just bought a house in Woodland Hills last summer for $7.5 million. He's 26 years old and will be the face of the Lakers for the next 10 years, or until the next superstar forces his way there.

AD isn't going anywhere.

Look this has nothing to do with the "general board" and how do you have AD committing to the Lakers for 10 years when he refuses to commit beyond this season publicly? LOL,

At the end of the day odds are he probably resigns but the fact he is leaving the possibility open and not even saying something to the effect "Plans can always change but I am happy here and plan to be a Laker for a long time" he's making it clear to everyone he plans to test FA and possibly even visit other teams. So like I said earlier I don't know how anyone can say him resigning is a sure thing he is clearly in wait and see mode.

The question posed in the thread was what would it take to convince him to stay my guess is a deep playoff run where he feels he has a legit shot at winning a championship to me that is sort of what has come through in interviews. It will also be interesting to see how he handles the LA media coming from the Pelicans not everyone can do it.
