Do you think Raptors NBA title is more impressive than Cavs NBA title?

Good try at trying to downplay how good the raptors were in comparison to the east. Beating philly was impressive but it was expected of them they werent dogs in any of those series lol.

at the end of the day you can only play who's in front of you and winning a chip isnt easy especially for this market. NObody signs in toronto so this team was built via the draft/trades.

Cavs never had to play anyone before the finals and only won because they were extremely fortunate to have league intervention.

Raps had a great east run but faced a clearly hobbled team (although I think they beat the healthy dubs minus KD anyway).

Cavs never had to play anyone before the finals and only won because they were extremely fortunate to have league intervention.

Raps had a great east run but faced a clearly hobbled team (although I think they beat the healthy dubs minus KD anyway).

Nobody has forgotten Mavs 2011, their chip is easily much more impressive.

They had a great West playoff-run & defeated a futlly healthy Miami Heat team.

However, I'm not comparing them to Cavs 2016 or Raptors 2019.

c'mon the Raptors had one of the greatest defensive lineups in playoffs history. They would have adjusted shut them down and edged out the series. Just like how they put Embiid Giannis and curry in Canadian prison. Durant and Klay were due to serve time too.

The Raptors path to the finals was much more impressive. Cleveland's finals series was more impressive than Toronto's entire playoff run, and I say this as a Raps fan. What the Cavaliers did in 2016 will go down in history.

They beat a team without their 1st and 3rd best player in the finals. Literally nobody thinks they would beat a healthy warriors team. I can't think of a team who had more favorable circumstances in any finals of the last 20+ years.

When you said the Raptors Run, this usually implies more than one series i.e. their run through the playoffs. Maybe you shouldn't have used that term as it could easily be misconstrued to mean their playoff run.

Without their third best player... Klay plays five games... but without their third best player. The guy needs to watch a game next time first before commenting.

More "impressive"? IDK what that means. 2016 was a much more memorable/fun series whereas this past one was anticlimatic/awkward. The 2016 Warriors were much better than the zombie version this year fwiw. The lineups the Warriors had to run out in game 3 and the end of game 6 were absolute jokes. Like, look at the people that played in game 3 besides Steph and Draymond or 6 after Klay went down, most of those guys I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't on an NBA roster 12 months from now. In an NBA finals game, ridiculous.

If I was a Raptors fan I wouldn't care about any of that though. Enjoy your banner.

Yeah pretty much this. I despise the Raps and we are all aware of why they are champs but I'd be annoyed at this point just let them have it.

The Cavs and Mavs titles in my lifetime were easily the most impressive given nobody even gave them a silver of hope to win. At least TOR had hope given what GS was dealing with.

Are they champs because Durant went down? Sure. But are they also champs because they built a deep team so they were capable of load balancing their main guys and having them fresh and ready to go for the playoffs? Yes.

The Raps were deep throughout their entire roster, not top heavy. That allowed them to go 17-5 without Kawhi. That allowed them to lose one of their best wing defenders and still win a title.

There's an outlast component to the NBA season... the Raptors outlasted.

Guess you missed the first part about me despising the Raps. Take the backhanded compliment and move on it's about all I got for them.

It was an impressive championship run, but it's not up there with the best.

e.g. Dirk single-handedly beat Kobe, Pau, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, LeBron, Wade, Bosh. That's an entire GENERATION of NBA star power.

The thing with Raps championship is it will age like fine wine: ppl will appreciate it more over the time. But it's not 2016, 2011 or 2003-level.

Just because your GF is not 2007 Megan Fox hot doesn't mean she's not hot.

The Mavs were a great team. All-star Marion, DPOY Chandler, HOF Jason Kidd, Jason Terry... they were built a lot more like the 2004 Pistons and 1999 TrailBlazers but with an MVP in Dirk. Deep with great talent.

Dirk was a scoring machine. But let’s not act like he was the defensive MVP as well of that series.

beating sixers and bucks on way to the finals is one of the most impressive things any team has done, the fact that it gets looked over is laughing. Give me a list of championship teams with a tougher road.

That's a very short list imo. Off the top of my head, within the last 25 years or so: '95 Rockets, maybe '11 Mavs.

LOL no salt here hated TOR well before last season and will continue to do so. I actually defended their title for a split sec too.
