Couple things:

1. I wish everyone was as transparent about their potential biases as Duke.
2. Just because Duke is a fan of certain teams, doesn't mean he's not capable of objective analysis, something he's demonstrated on this board over and over again.

So while clearly he just proved above that he wasn't high on this specific Duke player, doesn't mean we should dismiss him as a homer if he is high on a Duke guy. Now if he starts in on telling us Greg Paulus and Alaa Abdelnaby are HoFers I reserve the right to edit this post. Greg Koubek HoF talk will of course be accepted.

Now let me tell you about the best draft prospect of this year's class, a guy named Jack White...

Haha thanks. I will fully admit to my Duke bias and many times when it comes to projecting draft prospects somehow Duke guys just always end up high on my draft board for some reason haha. Or how I will most definitely cherry pick stats (most of the time subconsciously) to defend my Duke guys in the NBA (look at any Kyrie or Ingram thread haha). But I do try to take the Duke blue tinted shades off as much as I can, but what can I say, I live in Cali and its sunny most of the year haha.

dude, don't you mean that future HOFer Delaurier? Unless AOC will test the waters... ( He will make Cam look like Curry on hot streak )

Haha in all seriousness, I wouldnt be shocked if Javin ends up being the 2nd best pro (behind Tre) on this Duke roster. He fouls like crazy, but the dude is a legit 6'10 with a 7 foot wingspan that is very athletic and plays passing lanes very well, blocks shots and rebounds.

Not saying he ends up being a star or anything like that. But I can see Javin becoming a solid defensive energy big off the bench. And you compare that to everyone else on this Duke roster, Carey: old school game and cant defend in today's style of play, too slow footed. Stanley has TRex arms and has 0 off the dribble game. Hurt is as unathletic as they come and struggles getting his shot off against bad college competition because his feet dont leave the ground. Wendell Moore does nothing well, is an average athlete that has a jumper that rivals Ben Simmons and he doesn't defend or facilitate haha.

You forgot the only other Rookie last year in the Fab-Five? Joey "MFer" Baker?

Seriously though, Tre and Vernon are for me first-round picks and Carey shoots the 3 pretty well. Lots of teams could use a 5 that shoots the 3 at a high percentage and block shots.

Seriously though, that's like Homer Glasses combined with Duke contact lenses if you think Javin will even sniff the 2nd round of the draft. I think he is Europe bound or G-League.

And if he continued to suck or not be specifically impressive, he would get drafted lower and lose out on money. He got drafted in the lottery, if you know you're going in the lottery, no need to wait, he can develop in the NBA and if he doesn't then he wasn't going to be a better NBA player by being in college longer, maybe just less awful as an NBA rookie.

Yeah but I have more faith in Coach K to develop him than I do Lloyd Pierce.

i think you may have forgotten that there was a prolonged era when duke players hideously sucked at the pro level (it is a truly lengthy and stunning list), UNTIL,,,,,,,,,
,,,,k started recruiting the kind of athletes who used to go to unc.

Cam Reddish has been Unlocked and Unleashed. He is now hitting more than 1/3 FGA. He may very well be coming to a city near you and is fully ready to drop 3/9 or 4/10 fgs perhaps with a three or a few free throws sprinkled in. Are you prepared for CaMadness?

Siakam shot 52% from the field and 70% from the line as a first year nba player. He wasn't ever a massively struggling player.

Meanwhile, Jordan Poole (the real story here) took a trip to the G League to get himself right. So now...

He's shooting 27.7% on 8.4 FGA/game. Also shooting 27% on 3's.

In his last 7 games, he may have had the two best games of his career. Riding on the efficiency of those two games, he's shooting... 33.8% over that span.

Talk about over reaction..Cam Reddish is not playig anywhere close to his potential but to write him off this early is ludicrous. Dont let his fg % fool you he is a far better shooter than guys like ben simmons and early ricky rubio..not that its saying much.

Damian Jones, Jacob Evans, and now Jordan Poole— 3 huge whiffs in a row.

The success rate for late round picks isn’t stellar, but it would’ve been nice to net at least one playable guy from those 3 selections (like, Ezeli or Looney), especially considering our lack of depth...

Is it possible Warriors are missing the braintrust of Rod Higgins, Larry Riley and Travis Schlenk in the front office?
