Just wondering : do you guys consider this

the same as what Rudy Gobert did ? Because I do.

This is Diego Costa, soccer player from Atletico Madrid, who didn't feel like being interviewed by the press, and therefore deliberately started coughing onto the press ...

Probably he doesn't have Corona either, but completely disrespectful.

That's way worse....He's literally coughing on people, wtf? I get that people have a hate-boner for Gobert, but get real.

You could have told me the story without disclosing the player and Costa’s name would have been one of the first to come to mind.

the shame is punishment enough. bet his teammates despise him now. Though if something happens to Mitchell, he'd have to be punished.

Should we fine and discipline the NBA for allowing these guys to have their sweat and saliva flying around on a basketball court?

Really makes u think.

There's 50% chance that it was Mitchell who infected Gobert.

Or they were both infected by someone else.

Are we sure Gobert is patient zero in Jazz?

Post#130 » by kio80 » Sat Mar 14, 2020 6:39 am

I was reading reports and media posts for the past few days, it was mentioned that Donovan Mitchell caught the virus after Gobert tested positive.
The Jazz center caught all the heat and was blamed for possibly transmitting the Corona virus to his all star teammate Donovan Mitchell.
There’s all these rumors about tension within the locker room due to that, Gobert was also criticized for his silly “jokes” in the press conference prior to testing positive to the virus.
However, is it possible that Mitchell might have had the virus before Gobert, but was thrown under the bus because he was the one tested before everyone else? Please keep in mind that it is possible to carry the virus for up to 2 weeks with no symptoms. Why are we placing all the blame on Rudy?
Sure he was acting like an idiot in the press conference, but let’s not make the assumption that he is patient zero without any actual proof. Is it medically possible to find out who actually caught the virus first? Gobert or Mitchell?

There is zero way to know. Yes in some instances they can track this too a point and maybe they can but it's 100% possible that the spider gave it to Rudy or neither gave it to neither and they got it for two different places.

Donny def got it first and Rudy got it from touching up on him. Lol. Why didn't any other player get it if Rudy was touching up on everybody.

No, we aren't sure who got it first between them. We don't know whether either of them passed it on to the other or they got it from separate places/people.

Although the virus isn't technically transmitted through skin-on-skin contact, close proximity does make transmission more likely, so BrownBearKing makes an interesting point: if Gobert was supposedly touching everything and everyone, but no one except Mitchell "got it," it would make more sense to assume Mitchell got it first, not Gobert, especially if Mitchell wasn't touching anything or anyone.

Whatever the case, no one should be blaming anyone for getting the virus or passing it on unknowingly. It's an opportunity to learn and move forward, that's it. As I've said before, people who get it are victims, not criminals.

Only a truly sick people would attempt to intentionally pass the virus on once they had it. People like that do exist, but obviously Gobert and Mitchell aren't such people.

It doesn't, and I don't want to continue the pile on on Gobert but that clip of him was so stupid and just such a bad look for himself, the Jazz, and the league.

Plus theirs rumors about beef between him and Mitchell.

I'm gonna blame Jordan Clarkson just so we can finally say the Cavs won a trade.

Since they are forced to do the post game pressers and these are two of the teams stars likely to have been doing post games, (not certain they both do), it's possible one or both of them picked it up during one of these pressers. Could have been a newsie carrying it. Could have been a fan handing them something they wanted them to sign. Here's there thing, if they weren't pro ballers, would they have ever have gotten it? Who introduced it to them?

Why all the blaming is what I want to know? Is it just because the sports media no longer has games to discuss so now they just have this to harp on?

yeah its so stupid trying to blame someone in a viral pandemic. nobody si guitly. its not like the nba is this bubble that couldnt get the virus if everyone was acting accordingly... it doesnt work that way... if there are people, there will be virus. the only thing helping is total isolation.
this gobert crusade is so stupid it hurts. even using the name "patient zero" is beyond nonsense.
