I loved the documentary. Lots of great memories. My wife is also very much into it surprising.

What they didnt talk about (maybe they will in later episodes) was the talk was while Jordan was the most talented player in the league in the 80's that they said he couldn't win a ring because you can't win a ring scoring 30+ points per game. He was absolutely torn apart for not being able to win. They were always at the edge. The thing is that prior to 1990 he really didn't have much help. in the 1988-89 season, Horace Grant was actually the Bulls second best player. Pippen was still taking his steps on his potential.

But Jordan was a cultural phenomenon like nothing we've seen before. They don't even get into his shoes, his marketing. And once Jordan got to the top of the hill nobody ever took him off.

I don't recall RealGM being around in the 90's. Was it? Earliest I remember is somewhere around 2002.

Gifts that will keep on giving.

Nobody should disagree with that however we all know MJ was the best player on that team. Especially on the offensive end where the ball went through him most of the time. MJ playing with Pippen doesn't take away the fact how great he was.

It's like saying oh Shaq wouldn't have won without Kobe. Which is kinda true but we all know Shaq was the driving force of those 3 peat teams. That doesn't take away from the greatness of Shaq.

Check all of Jordan post game interview, he always give prop to his team and why they won the game. Lebron on the other hand, its always about me.

Lebron fans are hella insecure right now. lol

The doc is well-made but I don't think it really covered anything that wasn't already known. Nice that the younger generation gets to learn more about the Bulls and MJ though.

I was kidding anyway, I was mocking this guy for knowing that Jordan got crapped on for not winning

who did this? 10 of the people he knew?, did he call enough people up randomly and ask them?

It certainly was not the media or if it was the media it must have been a black thing

Nice to know that MJ has a soft spot for AI.

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/michael-jordan-agreed-to-the-last-dance-documentary-thanks-to-lebron-james-allen-iverson-adam-silver/

The last page of the presentation was a look at the documentaries, movies and shows Tollin and his company, Mandalay Sports Media, had done.

"So there's Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar], there's Hank Aaron, there's 'Varsity Blues,' there's 'Coach Carter' and so forth," Tollin said. "He's actually looking at them all, and in the bottom right corner is 'Iverson.' He goes, 'You did that?'"

Tollin didn't answer. Jordan repeated the question.

Tollin wondered if this was going to work for or against him. Like the timing with the Cavaliers' championship parade that morning, it was impossible to know.

Tollin mumbled a cautious, "Yes."

Jordan took his glasses off, looked up and said, "I watched that thing three times. Made me cry. Love that little guy."

Then he walked around the desk, extended his hand and said, "Let's do it."

I was kidding as well, but I was half-hoping the thread might actually exist on archive.org or whatever it's called these days.

I don't really remember anybody crapping on Jordan like that either, but my memory is questionable.

wtf, first one I found I saw it was all about him as usual, the only mention of anybody else was to say that they need to work on rhythm

next video i found started out being all about him, then they had to ask about scottie and his best thing to say was that he took some pressure off him (again making it about him), then he pretty much agrees that his team sucks without him

third clip I looked up he made no mention of anyone in particular on his team and its about him

in the final clip i searched its pretty much all about him, he agreed that the economy might take a turn and that he left enough memories for kids to look up to, he talks about the season being difficult on him personally because the pippen injury and rodman being rodman, he says he is not annoyed that they are asking questions about his future at that time (of course its not annoying, he is talking about his favourite subject, himself), he likes the idea of going out with him making the championship winning shot, then he talks about all the things he did to keep the game close, reminds everyone that pippen was hurt and rodman was in foul trouble, he then mentions himself about 50 times more in 90 seconds, the only credit he gives to his team was to mention that coach jackson drew up an iso play for him, and that kerr had killed stockton previous to this game, then mentions the only thing the team had to do was defend for 5.7 seconds to win the title (so even they could achieve that)

so 4 clips out of 4 i searched and jordan was not propping up his team at all, you must be confusing jordan for someone else?

I used to work at the airport and pimp women on the side so I have plenty of time on my hands right now because of social distancing due to the virus of the corona

how insecure are Jordan fans to be making up complete BS trying to make Jordan look like a magnanimous individual when he was the opposite

the correct answer was to say sorry and promise to never do it again

You mean im down 0-4

You are reaching so far with those clips, he said that because he missed 1 game that the team missed him and werent in rhythm but in the next sentence he said if he would miss more games they would to fine without him.

You are pretty bad at trolling

review that last clip for me and tell me im reaching, the dude must have broke a world record for self praise in that clip lol

its a pretty big sample size and its the final game of the final dance, so this is a perfect moment to praise his teammates for their efforts

btw this wasn't me looking at hundreds of clips and finding these, this is me finding the first 4 clips and the only thing you can say for Jordan is that he thinks they wont miss him as much if they play a few more games without him

so far its a decent watch, i hope it gets better, i think its just a slow build right now they really havent gotten into the crux yet which makes sense if its a 10part doc, they are just laying out the context for the most part

also, i can't wait till the kobe interviews :( #ripmamba

Well hes just answering questions that are directed at him and his performance in that game, i dont know what you expect him to say when hes asked about plays he did in the game?

He praised the team defence, he always said we/us in those clips never put any blame on his team.

well obviously a team misses there best player, he even said that they had played long time together and when player is not playing that it would disrupt the team not talking about himself but any player in the team.

And you totally reaching so far and no 4 clips of 14 years is a pretty small sample size its like what well under 1% of the interviews he did. But keep trolling and seeing the things you want. I have no worries about losing a already won battle

4 clips out of 4 that I searched, do you want me to continue? ill do it but you have to promise that you will watch them and explain every single one of them

Im sure specific praise for his teammates is going to be in short supply
