Lebron should be the one that’s the aggressor on offense, not AD imo. AD should just continue to play his game and move without the ball and have Lebron set him up. AD is not meant to be a big post up player. That hasn’t worked so far the first couple games and becomes too predictable

The point was there was a massive lane for a lob that OKC didn’t take advantage of. That LA bigs are just going to roll and get dunks all day on because Houston kept leaving the lob open.

if you don't have size at the rim, things don't go typically well against a Lebron led team. Throw in Davis and it is a wrap.

People don't realize Dwight and Mcgee will not be playable this series.
Our guards will feast on them they are going to force the Lakers to play small ball and jack up 3s.

I expect a pretty easy series win for the Lakers, even with the February version of Westbrook playing they would have been major favourites, and he's clearly in way worse shape now.

He got a measly 17 points here. I have no idea how, but that's what happened.

You mean in the meaningless bubble game?

Davis fared better in this perfectly competitive mid-season game. But they still lost.

Our bigs will feast on them they are going to force the Rockets to play big ball to prevent the Lakers from scoring inside on every play.

people who think the Rockets struggle with big teams now just haven't watched. If the lakers win, it's just because lebron is lebron and AD is AD. The rockets struggle to contain quick guards, tuck can't be moved by just about anyone outside of Jokic and embiid.

Rockets can't play big. They have one style and one style only. No major adjustments possible for them.

They may feast but, for better or worse, the Rockets wont change what they do for the Lakers. Tucker and RoCo will still be 4 and 5.

People don't realize that Davis doesn't play like a wrecking ball. Rockets players like Tucker are strong enough to keep him from getting deep position at the rim and he settles for turnarounds and jumpshots. He doesn't feast in the paint against us like people think he would on paper. All the bigs will get hunted on switches on the perimeter and that is including LeBron. This looks good on paper for the Lakers but the size advantage has rarely helped teams against us so far, save a handful of games during the season. 538 didn't give us a 63% chance of winning this because they're Rockets fanboys lol.

Exactly. The only traditional big on their roster is the soon to be 38 year old Tyson Chandler who hasn't played since January and is there only for his locker room presence. They won't go big even if they are losing badly.

I'm gonna enjoy the series. I think LAL wins in a close series. I wouldn't discount the Rockets. They have what the Blazers didn't - heavy/athletic wings and tweeners. Blazers were just too small to have a chance. Lebron is not going to feast on Covington, J. Green, House, PJ, and he's gonna have to chase Gordon around too (I imagine Green is assigned to hound Harden all series).

I saw HOU as a dark-horse this year. They're a long-shot since it seems Westbrook is at 75% (and just generally declining anyway), but I will say, he usually comes alive when little defensive darlings like Caruso (or Beverley) try to get under his skin.

Not sure how PJ/AD match-up. Obviously Davis will have some big numbers, but I wonder if PJ throws him a little off his game, or if AD just has a field day and decides the series. AD is shooting the 3-ball well, and moving smoothly. I do think this is where my man PJ finally loses the C match-up.

I like the way HOU is playing but I just feel like Russ isn't there, and I don't like how Harden has been deferring to Russ at the end of games. But hey, all that matters are 4 wins right now.

Tucker would've read that lob pass to Adams and broken it up. Both of them would've hesitated after their eye contact and given more than enough time for Tucker to read it. Adams and Gilgeous don't have chemistry or IQ like that.

Dort put 30 on the Rockets defense last night...so I don't even want to imagine what LeBron and AD are about to do.

Oh it absolutely I’d that simple. You have a lane to the basket and smaller, unathletic players scrambling to you. That’s a lob a dunk for an athletic big. Houston is extremely susceptible to the lob because of their roster construction and defensive system.
