The version of Murray we saw in the bubble is the same version of Murray we’re seeing the last month. Idk what caused his slow start but it looks like his bubble run wasn’t just a hot stretch and he’s for real. He’s averaging close to 22 PPG (and that’s been rising) on damn good efficiency for the season and that’s with a really bad start.

If Murray played as well as he did in the Utah series, he'd basically be MJ. In reality, he's an all-star level offensive player, but really he's not an All-NBA-level player as of yet. He lacks the all-around savvy and IQ and is a bad defender and when he's playing bad he doesn't really do anything else well. Even people who are known for not being great at things besides scoring can pass a little better and make defensive plays and just high IQ plays when their shot isn't falling.

Well Murray is officially back and he is the real deal. I'd take him over Booker and Mitchell any day.

lol @ starting threads like this after just a few games. He is averaging around 30 in the last 10 games. That too is a small sample to say he’s the real deal, but it’s never good make hot takes of the magnitude of the OP after a month of ball. Too funny.

Can you imagine Booker playing off Joker? C'mon now.

LeBron winning a ring now counts as part of the flukiness in the bubble?
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso
F - Green | Caldwell-Pope
F - Davis | Kuzma | Morris
C - McGee | Howard

It was pretty obvious that a guy who to that point had been a league average 3 pt shooter couldn't keep up 45% from deep on a heavier load. It wasn't sustainable. That doesn't mean he isn't still improving.

Murray might be inconsistent but can really explode anytime especially if nuggets decide to raise again his usage which happens now in the playoffs

no u just never understand murray. he performs better under pressure and he is very streaky meaning in games hes hot he could easily get you 50.

Jamal seemed to be playing hurt the first month or so of the season. His numbers for February were much more in line with his bubble numbers: 25.8 ppg on 51.4%FG, 46.8% from 3, with 4.9 rpg and 4.9 apg.

Maybe he is just finally getting healthy and his numbers reflect that.

Maybe, just maybe, Jamal is streakier than most players.

He’s likely improved on his 1st four seasons, as most players do, but I don’t think that a high water means he’s capable of doing this over an entire season either. We’ll find out

I wouldn't consider it a fluke....he's a talented offensive player.
