Any recent trades involving a 35 year old on last 2 months of his contract?

Depends on the player. If the player is Lebron James, the player is worth a lot. If it's Chris Paul, it's still pretty good. If it's Kyle Lowry... well, you see the return he got... Nothing.

Value is what you can command. Lowry is worth somewhere between nothing and very little.

Come on man. PJ Tucker netted the Rockets a 1st rounder and also the right to remove restrictions of making it unprotected for another 1st rounder. You're telling me teams didn't want to pay slightly more for Lowry if they're serious about winning a ring this year?

They didn't net an additional 1st rounder. They just exchanged a Bucks 2022, that they already owned, for the rights to 2023 1st instead.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

Because he's a 35 year old UNRESTRICTED free agent.

He'll either sign with someone who has capspace burning a hole in their pockets, or he'll sign for the Mid-level, like every other non-Lebron James 35 year old, who's ever played or he'll re-sign with the Raptors. Nobody is trading anything for Kyle Lowry this off-season.

You want to go pull the list of those teams up, bub?

As for your mid-level comment, Kyle made it very clear he is looking to get paid. He's not taking the MLE under any circumstances.

well look at it this way. The clippers gave up lou williams and picks for lowry. The suns gave up kelly oubre a first, two prospectgs and rubio. If lowry is better than rondo but not as good as chris paul, your market for a 35 year old who can leave in a year is right in between there, so yeah, teams would give up something to sign lowry for 1-2 years

But I think Mattisse Thybulle is one of the best defensive players I've ever seen. He's going to develop into one of the best 3 and D guys in the league. When you factor in that they would have had to add Danny Green AND draft picks...I'm not giving all that up for a playoff run with Lowry. You fill one hole and create two.

I feel like the 76ers could not afford to lose both Thybulle/Green in a trade for Lowry. A Green/Maxey/Very late 2021 FRP for Lowry would have been a fair deal. Embiid/Simmons/Lowry/Harris/Thybulle with Curry as a 6th man looks really good on paper. I feel like Tyler Herro is overrated, but I understand why Miami would not trade him for Lowry considering how well he played for them in the playoffs as a rookie. The fact the Lakers would not trade Talen Horton-Tucker for Lowry is comical.
