Congrats to the Bucks and their fans... Giannis makes these two look like absolute clowns.

I forgot LeBron doesn't bring an extreme amount of drama. Or Kawhi.

Giannis is the exception not the rule.

American born players are mostly divas. Its just the way it is nowadays.

You would instantly take KD or Kyrie on your team. Don't bull us.

Even the Nets are sick and tired of Kyrie....

Also it was smart to publicly exclude him from the people included in the discussion though we all know he gave his input. That way he had plausible deniability either way. Imagine him being honest and saying I want nothing to do with a part-time guy but KD and Harden voting for him to remain with the team. Nash is done then.

Well handled by the Nets here.

imho, this doesn't happen without kd and harden being ok with it.

Of course. Nets publicly said they were included in the decision making process. I'm just explaining why Nash's input was kept private--and why it had to be. What if KD and Harden had gone the other way and said he should be allowed to play road games and Nash said I don't want him at all? Now Nash just has an impossible task.

KD and Harden though want to win and don't have the time for this drama and being a terrible, selfish teammate. I expected nothing different from them here.

They aren't paying him for any games missed. The NBA released a statement about this, essentially creating a temporary rule that any time or games lost due to players not following COVID protocols - whether home or away - will result in the player forfeiting their salary for those games. Also, while the team saves money, the full salary counts against the cap/tax, so they can't get an exemption to sign a replacement player or go along with a player missing games in order to their luxury tax payments.

They may have to pay him for the 40 games he doesn't play now outside of NY that he could have platyed. But no...he doesn't get paid for non-vaccinated days off.

I'm not a basketball lawyer, but I'm pretty sure since it's the team deciding to sit him for games outside of NY, he'd still get paid for them

But he's absolutely not getting paid for any games in NY he's missing.

It took a Global Pandemic just to break up this superteam. Even if Kyrie gets vaccinated I can’t believe chemistry will be high on this team.

I'll have more fun watching with 7 people than you will watching your father Trae Young bounce you out of the first round again.

One, good Lord is governor a brutal nickname for owner. If I open up or buy a restaurant, am i a restaurant owner or a restaurant governor? If we're gonna make owner a dirty word, atleast go with chairman. That atleast makes more sense definition wise.

So anyway, they're gonna meet with the GM and the chairman to discuss his playing time. If I'm them, I would tell Kyrie he's either all in or all out. With him going back and forth in and out of the lineup all season, that's gonna be brutal for building continuity and a pecking order for plays, shots, feel, etc. Even without him they're a championship contender. Probably would have won it last year without Kyrie if Harden was healthy. Having to constantly adjust then re-adjust their roles on a game to game basis will do more harm than good imo, especially come playoff time.

Governor is the dumbest thing in the world, but, eh, sorry, don't want to derail this I guess.

Yeah, **** Wokie McFlat Earth. Either he should play or he should retire.

I am definitely envisioning a potential backtrack on Kyrie not playing ANY games. Why? Because TNT and ESPN pay ridiculous coin to the NBA has sold them the "superstar" business model which attracts eyeballs. Superstars missing games is kick to the nuts of the networks and biting the hand that feeds you. Same thing happened when the league cracked down on load management after TNT/ESPN complained.
