2nd most popular in 2016, but as far as overall skill goes, no. why? defense. His was/is average at best. Number 1 shooter sure, but the games about more than that.

100%. Same reason Magic was never a top 2 player in the NBA, amirite?
Or is it that some players are so explosive offensively that they don't need to be elite defenders to be the most impactful players in the game.

This is so surprising to me
I know Curry won MVP 2 years in a row. But I never thought he was better than LeBron or Durant.
Hell when Harden won it I didn't think he was better than LeBron or Durant.
But somehow 80% of people seem to think Curry was better than Durant(presumably) in 15-17?

Very clearly, culminating in him soundly outplaying KD in the 2016 WCF's. And I'll give you one guess why many thought KD was the better player afterwards when his efficiency and team success suddenly went through the roof in the post-season (hint: he was no longer the focus of opposing defensive playoff schemes).
