Ben Simmons is the obvious answer, no? He could make a major impact, his lack of shooting/closing not an issue for a team with Trae but he would add a ton of value to them. And you could really limit the minutes he and Capela spent on the floor together so the spacing wouldn't be a major concern either.

to be a top 5 team, you need to have 3 trae level stars bc traes not good anymore and several tier below perennial 1st all nba luka magic. right now they have trae and a bunch of 3/4th options. with no consolidation trades, their assets will deplete fast. last yr will be their ceiling. no team will ever win anything w/o a big 3. even the bulls have a fake big 3 thats better on paper.

His TS% for Octobers 6 games was .514. He will be fine by December. Then the haters will be left with bashing his hair...

What if his numbers are still down by December? We know what the "haters" will say but what will his supporters say?

"j-just wait till March! haterz!" ?

Then you start blaming the league and the refs for being biased

I get the dislike for Trae. Even more so from Knicks fans. He was on fire against the Knicks in the playoffs. I just call it like I see it. I think the officiating has been a huge change this season and the impact is apparent.

I also think Trae, like all great players, will adjust. His numbers in November continue to be on the upswing. His November TS% is now at .580.

Hawks are now 5-9 after horse whipping the Bucks tonight. Trae continues his great All NBA season with 42/8/10 on terrific shooting. Amazing what happens when the Hawks aren't on the road every day with no practice and no rest.

Is that "first" All NBA season or maybe even an "all-time" All NBA season?

Several tiers below Luka? Are you a Knicks fan? Even the worst Trae hater has to acknowledge he’s a star LOL.

This is the type of team that could easily rattle off 9 wins in their next 10 games and right the ship. I think they will be fine long term

I'm not sure they'll be fine. Too many teams retooled well last season. They might find themselves in the playin if they are not careful

He/she left the Bulls board because nobody took him/her seriously. It appears that this poster has now brought their show to the GB where it appears they aren’t taken seriously either. So I would probably just move along and save the energy. Lol!!

We are now 6-9 even with Hunter being out for 2 months with a wrist injury and Huerter getting hurt in today's game. Good guys keep finding ways to win.

So are we getting the topic title changed to keep up with the record?

No, that's not how it works. 5-9 is the record being discussed.

That makes no sense. The team had the worst schedule in the NBA, almost all games were on the road and have injuries. Now that the team is winning we're not supposed to talk about it? Just harp about the slow start? I see.

I think it's against forum rules to say something about fans of a particular team as a group, otherwise I would have done so right now.

It is a message board not Soviet Russia. As long as you aren't cursing or making personal attacks I don't know what rules it would violate to share your opinion.

Well, you guys definitely have the pieces to trade for Ben Simmons. On paper, it looks like you need to consolidate your talent a bit.

The 76ers have lost three in a row and dropped in the standings. If they continue falling, maybe they see some of the Hawks assets as enough. Its clear the Hawks do not have a all star to send, so they need to lower Simmons asking price.

I feel like to disparage trae young in this thread is totally unnecessary.

I just changed the subject in my reply, testing if this trolling method works.

Edit: it works. So... what's up with the Hawks and their 7-28 record? Do you think they'll make the playoffs?
