Heck 95% of the league is vaccinated and everyone is fine.

He'll just do some mental gymnastics and say we don't know what the long-term effects are.

Why anyone would consider trading for this giant headache is beyond me.

No one will. No team is taking on this narcissist.

And this isnt putting money where your mouth is. Holding a team hostage to your illogical beliefs isnt something to be built up.

If he wants to do whatever he pleases he should take a true stand like Ricky Williams and walk away from the game completley. Williams didnt hold the team hostage, he decided the game wasnt his love anymore and sought to cure his mental instabilities with the drug of his choice. What Irving is doing is harming his teammates on and in some ways off the court.

Wigginstime wrote:Most logical choice is Simmons for Irving. Seems like a massive win for both teams who effectively gain an all-star for a player who isn't playing resulting in massive bumps to both teams.

With that said i see Philly as extremely motivated sitting at 11-11 and completely out of the playoff currently.
The Nets are 15-6, first place in the east, and look like they can win the title without Kyrie so their primary focus is gonna be to not piss of Durant or Harden.

I don’t think Kyrie to Philly makes sense- with a crowd like theirs, he might just leave on a 2 month vision quest in the Mohave desert the second he gets booed at home.

This is far fetched, but a part of me wouldn’t be surprised if Kyrie decides to go play basketball in Africa. Do what J Cole did, sign with a team and just grow the game there. I mean, Cole who is not a professional athlete had people stateside watching a team from Rwanda, just imagine what an all-NBA talent could do for the game over there.

Well there are other anti-vaxxers who are playing now and not getting much attention for it. I could see a small market team that doesn't have much going on taking advantage of a low price on Kyrie. It's a huge gamble, but some teams need to take gambles like that.

He would still have the all the leverage since he has a player option for the 2022-2023 season, which he will most likely opt-out of at the end of this current season and become a free agent in the Summer of 2022.

Yeah possibly but does he even want to play?

Seems like he’s too busy trying to look spiritual by posting screen grabs on Twitter.

If the owners blackballed Abdul Rauf for not standing for the anthem, they should definitely bind together and blackball Kyrie for this nonsense.

The NBA should just mandate it to the players. All the NBA staff have the mandate, why not the players? If the player doesn't comply without a legitimate medical reason, the player gets banned from the league without pay.

Pop deserves better than to have to deal with Kyrie in the twilight of his career.

Honestly with the Nets currently being the number one seed, with KD and Harden reaching the end of their primes, they need to make a move NOW. They may never get another chance like this. They are too old to compete against younger teams like ATL, CHI, and BOS moving forward. And right now they cannot beat championship caliber teams like PHX and GS.

Makes a lot of sense.

It does until the Sixers beat the Nets in the playoffs because of it.

Kyrie had better talent surrounding him in BOS and he failed miserably.

There comes a point in any opinion you may have that you may realize you are wrong due to evidence, but due to our fragile human egos, our brain somehow warps that evidence to convince us that it actually means we are right. We're all guilty of this on a small scale, like I've been slow to admit that my prediction suns would be worse this year was off and I just blamed it on their easy schedule at first. Eventually I couldn't do that anymore and just have to accept I was wrong.

It takes a special kind of denial to double down with undeniable evidence tho. At this pt Kyries ego is so big that he can't admit he was as wrong and would rather forfeit millions and a title then admit it.

when it comes to vaccines, you typically know pretty quickly if there are any effects, within weeks post launch and mass administration. Aside from what's been reported, I wouldn't expect anything else to come out now. I really respect Kyrie in that he is open and honest unlike others, but I do wish he would reconsider his stance especially considering the access to the medical experts the Nets can get him to answer any questions
