Sam Hinkie wrote:Their roster isn't optimized, but that's mostly because Russ and Lebron are horrible fits. Russ needs the ball in his hands to be even close to a positive player. And by doing that you're taking the ball out of the hands of the best decision maker in NBA history. Russ is one of the worst off ball players in the league. I couldn't imagine a worse player to pair with Lebron than Russ.

the best decision maker in NBA history

Wtf? He made the decision to trade for WB. 75% of this forum wrote that this trade was very bad fit. Usually stats padders don’t have the highest bbiq…

Lebron is putting 0 effort on the defensive end this season so you couple that with Westbrooks poor D, lack of rim protection and the Lakers are essentially a layup line.

True... Been calling it out all season... The biggest component in Westbrook's bad fit on the Lakers is his horrible defense and the fact he plays next to LeBron, who makes maybe a handfull of good defensive plays a night tops, and AD, who is playing better, but is nowhere near the Top Defender Candidate he was a couple years ago...

Which is why THT is beating out Westbrook right now... THT isn't an all-time defender but he's decent and that's better than either LeBron or Westbrook most nights... He's also way better at getting AD and others the ball in effective spots...

Between THT and Johnson being effective defensively and attacking the basket, AD playing engaged D and Monk being a legit 3pt threat, that lineup was more trouble for the Bucks than the lineups with LeBron...

It was down to 11 when LeBron came back in with like 4min left... What would have happened had he stayed on the bench? I guess we'll never know.

Nah, someone just needs to slap him in the face with his numbers this season. Since, according to him, that's all that matters.

Lakers need to hire a fan to just yell each game "- 22 this game, 30% from the field, 6 turnovers, $44million a year!!!"

Remember when Westbrook was actually traded for Chris Paul? That seems like 80 years ago.

If winning a championship for us is called destroying a team, I think a lot of teams would want that.

Sure ... but probably most teams want to follow the San Antonio model ... where winning championships leads to ... wining more championships ... not into dooming a franchise to years of mediocrity. Right?

Oh yes. But they would probably prefer the "having Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Phil Jackson" model that nets them 6 titles in 8 years. Wonder why none of the NBA teams have decided to use that model since it seems so easy to you.

What about the Lakers' situation in 2018 made you think they had the "Spurs model" option but LeBron decided he would simply win one and tear them down afterward? The well-oiled machine being run by Magic and Luke Walton? Or the once in a generation Tim Duncan-tier talent of Ball and Ingram? Like are you seriously suggesting any team would be displeased to have won a title 2 years ago?
