This is one of the main reasons LeBron will never be on the same pedestal as Jordan. It's as simple as that.

The article doesn't actually say he wants out but it would be pretty huge for the Lakers if that was actually what LeBron wanted. The current core is done and it would save them years of rebuilding. I would definitely not be against that if I was a Laker fan.

Is there any evidence of this happening? Like even once? I always see this, but no team has actually had their futures destroyed. I'm looking at Miami and Cleveland here.

If you look at Miami, they had the best 4 year run of their 30ish year history as a franchise. And they are have a much larger fan base, season ticket base, tv deal, ect as a result of the 4 year run with Lebron when they were the most popular team in the NBA.

And Cleveland fans, would you trade 2016 for anything? for the 4 straight Finals from 15-18. Or the 11 years when Cleveland was basically the center of the NBA universe.

And while 1 championship with the Lakers does not mean the same to Laker fans the way 1 in Cleveland means to Cavs fans, he still delivered.

Lebron has held up his end of the bargain.

Nah, it’s so much easier to believe the narrative that these NBA franchises have been poor, defenseless, innocent victims of Lebron’s free agency decisions and that they’ve never benefitted or profited at all from his presence on their teams. And that they wouldn’t have made the exact same trade off if they had to do it all over again.

Dude has orchestrated so much his entire career. What's sad is that one day he'll realize that he'll never be more respected by players than TV personalities. For the people who really love basketball, all the behind the scenes stuff isn't Machiavellian or clever at all and won't put him above Jordan.

I can't understand this idea that somehow LeBron is the sole scapegoat for the Lakers' failure this season. The GM and the ownership of the LA Lakers are ultimately to blame for deciding to trade for Russell Westbrook instead of Buddy Hield or DeMar DeRozan. A good organization will understand that you can't let players make these kinds of decisions because they are too frequently biased toward acquiring guys they are friends with or who share the same agent or who played on a team with them in the past.

The news that LeBron is unsatisfied with the lack of change the Lakers made at the deadline just proves he doesn't have the degree of control over the franchise that some think he does.

He's was telling everyone during the 2018 season that LeBron was going to LA next.

He even said at that time that LeBrons goal was to play with his son in a few years...
Said LeBron idolized Ken Griffey and how he played with his son. It's his mission to do it too.

Bronny wasn't even in HS or even 6ft when he said this.....
I thought it was crazy talk, wishful thinking.

He went to LA as Simmons projected.
He just dropped that tweet about playing with Bronny over the weekend.....

I think he knows that 6 titles is gonna be pretty tough to pull off now.
7 to top MJ is probably not happening.

He's all over the record books. Professional goals achieved.
What else is there to accomplish then besides this personal goal.

Nobody gets tired of winning championships. He’s going to try to be like Tom Brady

If he wanted to be like Tom Brady, he wouldn’t bounce from team to team on any given opportunity. And instead, takes pay cuts to give his organization more room to add better talent like Brady did with the Pats and Bucs.

Then again, having a wife richer than you also helps too.

Laker fans aren't that mad. We apprecaite the chip he got us. If he wants to leave then he should. We can't mortgage our future on a 38 year old.

Why, when the Cars are competing right now with a growing team. The Cavs would have to mortgage half the stars in order to get 2 good years of LJ. Oh yeah plys have to draft Bronnie or else.

People have twisted what happened to suit their own narrative. What actually happened: LeBron and AD together pushed for a Westbrook trade, Pelinka and the Lakers made the final decision to execute it.

What people are saying happened: LeBron forced the Lakers to trade for Westbrook.

Somehow he had that power but also didn't have any power at the trade deadline. Did Rob and Jeannie give LeBron a one-time use "make a trade" card or something?

:o

They say perception is reality so wherever you’re coming from I’m going to assume that you really believe this..,

Riddle me this, Batman: name ONE SINGLE team/franchise that LeBron played for that has not won a championship?

Cleveland (1st time — how many years???)
Miami
Cleveland (2nd time — w same owner!!!)
Los Angeles Lakers

My my account that is for teams and 3 different sets of championships from three different franchises.

The bouncing around part just sounds, I don’t wanna go there

So for people that can’t really hold their own in discussions…nvm

I think LeBron would be looking at the accomplishments of Bill Russell Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Tom Brady at this phase of his life

Like Kobe was a girl that I know LeBron’s two oldest are boys

I think he probably wants at some point to show them how to win championships and how much fun basketball can be

Cleveland would surely welcome him back.

They have a really easy path to cap room in the 2023 offseason (both Love and Lavert expire). They probably could make something happen this offseason as well, if he clearly wanted to go there.

Beautiful Post

This weekend there’s a picture of him and Michael and he’s already on that pedestal y’all keep talking…

Your hate is so strong I’m popping popcorn I’m enjoying it

I too hated LeBron James when the Cavaliers be Gilbert Arenas and the wizards…I LOATHED The Decision…

But with the level of his play and all the records shattering the man deserves his flowers.
