He's hurt and at his age he probably doesn't have a ton of athleticism to spare.

Raptors stans have always disagreed with me despite all concrete proof saying otherwise but Lowry has always been a bad playoff performer. Yes we know he is old and washed now but its not like he was ever good in the playoffs.

Since 2016-17 (not including this season), so a total of 45 playoff games, he's averaged 16/7/5 on 59% TS.

He's playing hurt. So are other guys, but it is a little more debilitating when you are 36.

When one considers he is getting paid 30 mil per year and has two years remaining, its not too far of to say this might be one of the worse offseason signings. Also considering his age this might be the best version of Lowry we see come playoff time. Hes not going to get any younger and he did give him time off in the regular season. Everyone kept saying he is a difference maker come playoffs, well two games with zero points kinda says it all. The Raps won the trade with the Heat, thats for sure.

He's played poorly this playoffs, no doubt. He's also old and injured and I won't partake in anymore KLow slander.

Good point. Actually if the Lakers used their trade chips for Lowry then they couldn’t use them on Westbrook, so I guess that might have saved them, but I think the lesson is the same when it comes to old point guards.

Kyle Lowry 36
Westbrook 33
Harden 32
Chris Paul 37
Conley 34

I mean, I guess CP3 has been good for the Suns, and a 37 year old Jason Kidd helped the Mavs win a title, but it’s tough.

I’ll be 33 soon and I wish I was in my 20s.

His last five games he shot 8/37 for a whopping 21%. He is avg 4 points at 21% shooting making 30 million a year. It is what it is and the Raptors lucked out trading him to us unfortunately. In the NBA its what have you done for me lately that matter, not some clutch play a player made years go. Today this is the Lowry on the court. Its hard to argue hes not awful. Hes old and will get older. Again great job trading him but man those numbers are horrible. And this is with giving him time off in the regular season. Ouch.

The 8 playoff games he played this year don't invalidate the previous 45.

I'm not arguing he isn't awful now. He's 36 and injured now and absolutely awful. What I'm arguing is that he wasn't always awful, as some posters are suggesting.

He's clearly injured and trying to play through a hamstring injury.

And again, the argument was "Lowry was always terrible in the playoffs". Which is clearly not true. So I'm not sure what you're responding to.

Wow has to be one of the worst contracts in the league. I don't know how the Heat always get away with these awful contracts and manage to retool on the fly. Olynyk is a prime example, and now you have Lowry and Duncan Robinson. The Heat can't keep finding gems undrafted or in the second round

I don't know, I think he looked like prime Lowry with that pathetic flop attempt with Brown's elbow.
