Remember the Celtics beat multiple teams better than Golden State on their way to the finals. Something to keep in mind.

Steve Kerr lost this.
He benched Curry and Wiggins the 2 best players of Warriors together while Celtics had Tatum and Brown in.

The second mistake was that Wiggins took only one shot in last quarter.
Wiggins tries so hard to earn a role that should have been given to him without any hesitation.

He is not Jordan Poole. Wiggins can go against any defense because of his superior athleticism.

Until now Warriors didn't face any elite defense like Boston has.
In this series have to select their options better. They need Wiggins more like they need Curry more.

Picked Celtics in 6 at the start of the series. Saw nothing in Game 1 that would change my mind.

Missed the game but was curry doing his antics when the warriors were up? Like doing the sleeping motion with his hands

Atleast we got a good game. We deserved that after watching the last 2 garbage series

Glad Celtics won, but we can't read much into one victory. I remember when OKC beat Miami handily in Game 1 of 2012 Finals, and I felt they would cruise to a series win. Instead, they got destroyed in the next 4 games

Which is absolutely crazy. I mean I was hearing in the 3rd quarter last night that GSW was going to sweep this. Yup GSW let the game get away in the 4th because Boston is a scrappy team. Boston was also picked to lose against the Nets, Bucks and then Heat. At the same time lets not pretend that the 3rd quarter GSW were just some fluke, this team has done that thing for years now. This is still a series. It is also shaping up to be one hell of a series as far as I see it. I have no real rooting interest (bet with a guy I work with I took Celtics because he wanted GSW but that is just office fun) and last night was just fun and I expect the rest of the series to be so too. GSW isn't just going to roll over because of one collapse, this team has been seasoned. Going into the series I saw GSW winning in 7. Now I think maybe Celtics in 7? I expect at least a 6 game series one way or the other though.

I had Celtics in 7 in the first thread. I'll stick with that.

The Celtics created more open looks and clamped down in the fourth:

Wide-open threes: Celtics 13-23; Warriors 8-17
Open threes: Celtics 6-15; Warriors 8-16
Tightly covered threes: Celtics 2-3; Warriors 3-12
Very tightly covered threes: none

4th quarter:

Wide-open threes: Celtics 4-6, Warriors 0-1
Open threes: Celtics 3-4, Warriors 1-3
Tightly covered: Celtics 2-2, Warriors 1-4

No it won’t. Al Horford and Derrick White will not continue to have career games. It all balances out eventually. There will be no sweep here. This series is going at least 6. I expect the warriors to win Game 2 and then this board will immediately flip in their favor once again.

Same with Boson's last series vs Miami. People were saying Boston sweep after they dismantled the Heat in game 1, but it came down to the wire in game 7.

I predicted Boston winning it all back in the middle of March, but I'm not predicting a sweep. I still think they are just too deep and too good defensively for GSW, playoff experience or not. You gotta remember, Time Lord was considered to Boston's frontrunner in the DPOY race until he got injured, and then Smart won it. Boston isn't even as good as they could be yet.

Klay Thompson is a shell of his former self. Sad to see. He's like a role player that just shoots threes now. Can't defend a chair, can't get past defenders. Completely cooked.
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

Man.... Buck Foston. But damn.... that Boston D and Boston length coupled with shot making will cook any team. Warriors haven't gone up against a real opponent who his healthy these playoffs yet. Lets see if they can adjust. They could not get anything going in the 4th quarter.

I said Celtics in 7 before the series. Sticking with it. I felt the winner of Boston/Milwaukee would go on to win the title since both teams had star power and elite-level defense. Golden State is really good, though, and will adjust and strike back. Should be a fun one.

Let's not overreact after one game. Golden State will make adjustments and will win the series. Remember just a year ago Milwaukee was down 0-2 in the Finals and they came back and won it all. Boston lost game one in their two previous series and we all know how those series turned out. Golden State lost game one before on their home floor only to win the series at the end. Games two and three will be very telling in how this series will play out.

Also picked Celtics in 6, but I saw something. If Warriors' do not make the necessary adjustments, this may be over in 5.
