I like Vogel but they better get him some good defenders to help him succeed. Schroder, Carter, Stanley Johnson would surely help, if not he’s tenure would be short.

So basically Raps just need to hire Doc so that the nepotism circle is closed.

That's my take-away.

Nurse to the Bucks.
Monty to the Sixers or a young team like Orlando or Detroit.
Bud comes back to assist Pops in San Antonio.
Rivers retires or get an executive or consultant job somewhere.

So I'm wrong with Nurse... Got it with Vogel and Monty..sort of.
Let's see about Rivers and Bud.

A legit question here... wasn't Atkinson supposed to be the sought after coach? What happened to him? I remember before we got coach Mos he was the coach we all wanted.

Bud wouldn't be the worst hire for the Raps if they are indeed going for a youth movement and want to reestablish/continue a good culture. I still think Masai will aim higher upside than that. No chance for Doc though.

i don't think the raptors hire will be an established nba name. it's looking more and more like a guy not from the US/canada.

Monty will do good things in Detroit but I also thought Kenny would've been amazing there too. He would've cost less and I think he's probably better on the player development side of things.

I guess Doc is the tiny crab who appears at 2:42. End of the line, buddy.

Is Stackhouse in the mix for Toronto? As a player, I thought he was low-IQ and never imagined him as a coach. However, he seems to have turned over a new leaf. I would've been happy with Stack landing back with Detroit. He has a connection with Toronto coaching their G-League team.

He was in the rumors originally for both Detroit and Toronto but I haven't heard of him being in the mix since. He responded pretty negatively to the Detroit rumors so I think he's happy at Vanderbilt.

He was interviewed for the Raps job in 2019 when they chose Nurse, but ultimately left the Raps 905 team after the Nurse hiring and worked with Memphis for a year before going to Vanderbilt. He has ties to Siakam and FVV from coaching them to a Gleague title. He has a pretty impressive coaching resume so I'm sure he's getting interview offers.

I like all of those hires, especially Stotts to Milwalkee. Boston is going to run out of qualified assistants to Maz if they don't act soon.

Yep, I really liked Stotts in Portland. Tons of experience in the NBA, both as Head Coach and assistant (was on the coaching staff of the 2011 Mavs or 96 Sonics for example). Great hire by the Bucks.

under rated comment. I think people highly underestimate the role nepotism/cronyism plays in hiring decisions universally
