Philly could've had Haliburton. Morey's love affair with Harden has cost him dearly again.

Haliburton doesn't contribute towards winning, yet... Sacramento got better without him. Philadelphia has championship expectations.

Also yes hindsight does indeed bring perfect clarity to things, and it's also very very boring to talk about. No one knew at what rate Harden would decline at the time, and if he didn't drop off so drastically they wouldn't have had any problems with contact negotiations. Sometimes you lose gambles.

Joel ain't going yet. He's the top dog here. if he goes elsewhere to a contending team he ain't for sure. He won't be "the process" and focal point of attention that he craves. I see Joel leaving Philly when he's old and useless like Drummond. Nobody will care by then where he goes.

Seems like he has Bird rights, unless we were missing something in our above discussion. He's been under some kind of contract for 3+ years without being waived or a UFA, those are the only rules to qualify.

Boston was never playing anyway and Bones was not a long term option. He was meant for deals like this and as far as Mann they simply not invested into committing a consistent role for him. Now he’s making more and it’s probably for the best to move on.
